The 2390 is a Grade 1 exit device designed for high use and abuse, and delivers a variety of performance features that ensure smooth, easy and reliable operation. Easier rod adjustment simplifies installation. This device is for replacment of older worn out Falcon / Dor-o-Matic 2390's. Dor-o-Matic 1690/1990 Top Rod Latch Assembly PB130
The Dor-o-Matic 1690/1990 Top Rod Latch Assembly PB130 is also used on the 1390, 1490 and 2390. This latch has been around since the 1970's, and is usually the issue if your bottom rod is dragging on the floor. Although we are calling it Dor-o-Matic, it is actually known as a Falcon SU Top Latch due to a name change 5 or 6 years ago. This latch rolls over when the device is pressed in and then locks in that position. When the door closes, the 'U" channel of the latch flips over to a vertical postion and drops the rods. This latch always uses the PB48 Strike, our part # G199034. The Dor-o-Matic Panic Devices have been around since the late 1960’s, but have most recently been known as the Falcon Panic Device from a name change they had in about 2008. They are basically the same device, with the same parts, just a different name plate. Falcon part # PB130 or 4270101806.
