The LCN Door Closer 1261 Series combines the best features from the previous 1070 and 1370 into a single versatile and economical cast iron closer, with Tri mounting capability. The 1261 is the door closer I would recommend if you are tired of replacing your store front door closers because of leakage.  The 1261 is the most heavy duty standard template closer that is made.  This door closer will work on the push, pull or top jamb, and is non handed.  The 1261 is adjustable spring sizes 1-5 and mounts to the most common commercial footprint. The 1261 also features a complete line of regular and extra duty arms, LCN’s peel-n-stick installation templates, a convenient spring adjust pointer.  The hole spacing is 3/4" x 9-1/16", so it is considered a standard template closer.  LCN also offers a 20 year warranty on this closer. The Norton Door Closer 8301 is sometimes called the Omni Door Closer.  This door closer features a cast aluminum body, is a Grade 1 closer and has adjustable closing, latching, and back check speeds.  This closer is a non sized closer, meaning you adjust the spring tension to meet closing requirement for a ADA Barrier Free application all the way up to a 48” exterior door.  You cover might have 8301/8301BF 3301/3301BF, but the new version will cover the BF and non BF closers.  The difference between this closer and the 8501 is the size of the plastic cover.  The 8301 has a slim cover, and the 8501 has full cover.  The hole spacing on this door closer is 3/4” x 12”.

The Jackson Door Closer Center Hung Arm - 20-2000 is used on double acting doors with the 20-330 concealed door closer.  The arm measures 9-1/2" long by 15/16" thick.

The Dor-O-Matic 1690/1790/2390 Dogging Hex Shaft is the piece that your dog key (allen wrench) fits into the lock the device in the open or dogged position.  This shaft is used on the 1690, 1790, and 2390 device.  The Dor-o-Matic Panic Devices have been around since the late 1960’s, but have most recently been known as the Falcon Panic Device from a name change they had in about 2008.  They are basically the same device, with the same parts, just a different name plate.  The part that the hex key fits into is only about 1/4" deep, because of that these tend to get rounded out, so the key will not move the shaft. 

To remove the old shaft just pull with a pair of Channel Locks or Pliers.  To reinstall, just press it back in to position, you might have to bend the holding tabs back down, but we very rarely have to do this.  The manufacture part number on this is SHAFT.101.

The LCN Door Closer 4111 HEDA Hold Open is known as the Smoothee, and is one of the heaviest duty door closers made, the HEDA stands for Hold Open Extra Duty Arm.  If you have a building were you have a high traffic and abusive, especially exterior doors, then this is the closer. The 4111 is an application specific closer, meaning it will only work when mounted on the door, on the push side. This is known as a parallel arm application. The cylinder is fully adjustable and will work on doors up to 56" exterior door, and can be adjust down to ADA required levels. We ship the 4111 HEDA model, which is a hold open arm on this page. The cylinder mounting holes are 2-1/2" by 6".

The Floor Door Stop FS434 is another one the old Ives parts that has been around for about 40 plus years.   The FS434 is constructed of burnished wrought steel, with a soft, resilient gray rubber shoe.  The shoe is replaceable and is under related products.  The stop measures 2-5/8" overall height, and the base measures 1-1/2" wide by 2-3/4" long.  This door stop ships with all the fasteners and anchors needed.

H.B. Ives FB41 Series are sold has Top, Bottom or in Pairs (top and bottom). Fully automatic, inactive door is latched when active door closes, bolts retract when active door is opened. Top Bolt has no spring tension. They are non handed, but the top and bottom bolts are different. The body size is 1" wide, 8-1/2" tall and 2" deep, the bolts have a 3/4" throw with a 7/8" vertical adjustment.

The Von Duprin 050400 Top Latch is used on the 2227, 3327A, 3427A, 9827 and 9927 exit devices. It is used the Fire-Rated along with the standard Panic Devices.  The 050400 is sold without the the Mounting Bracket, if you need the Mounting Bracket you can order the 050546, or order the G99VR10 (050091) which will come with the Bracket. This latch is for use on devices shipped after October 1998. This is usually the problem if your bottom rod is dragging on the floor. Includes screws.

The Doromatic Exit Device 2090 Active Case is for use on the 1090 and 2090 panic hardware.  This device has been around since the early 1970's, and is now called the Falcon 2090 Active Case, but it is the same piece.  Includes all of the interior hardware. Just unscrew or loosen the three set screws and remove your old case and install and tighten the three set screws. Housing measures 7-1/2" long by 1-3/16" wide, mounting studs have a 6-1/4" center to center distance.

Sargent 25-CPSH Heavy Duty Compression Holder Arm

Forged Steel Arm 11-1/4" long, non handed, will work left or right for Parallel Armed Sargent Closers.  Permits 105 degree opening with built in compression stop and holder mechanism.

The Ives Wall Door Stop / Holder WS40 is a door holder that has some history.  We see this product in many schools, hospitals and churches that were built in the 50's, 60's and 70's.   The WS40 was originally made and designed by Glynn-Johnson out of Chicago, Illinois, and was called the W40 or GJW40.   H.B. Ives purchased Glynn-Johnson in 1990's and mergered this product into there offering, and changed the part # to WS40.  The holder is made of cast brass or bronze and plated to your desired finish.  The holding mechanism has a rubber bumper inside it to act as a door stop, and a brass spring loaded roller to act as a holder.   The product ships with a universal screw package to mount on all types of walls.   For the best results with this stop/holder the door and wall should be about 3-1/2" apart in the open position.

The Doromatic 1790 rim device is typically used in applications where maintenance is a concern because the rim device has fewer parts and pieces than current exit devices. The result is less maintenance and adjustment. The streamlined design has no openings for chains, reducing the risk for code infringements and offering increased building security by eliminating the possibility of tampering and forced entry through the use of coat hangers and other tools. The Doromatic 1790 may also be used to retrofit a Doromatic 2090 series crossbar device.

The Jackson Door Closer Center hung Arm - 20-400B is used with the 20-330 door closer.  This arm is for use with double acting, center hung doors.  The arm measures 10" long by a 1-1/2" wide and 1/2" thick.

The Polished Stainless Steel Door Kick Plate is 16 gauge, or .050″ thick. Stainless steel offers one of the best material for commercial applications. They are very hard, and do not dent easily. The also offer the best corrosion resistances out there.  We often have people looking for Brushed Chrome or Polished Chrome, but the appearance of the two finishes next to each other is very difficult to tell which is which. Also a brushed chrome or polished chrome kick plate would be a brass plate which is then chrome plated and brushed or polished depending on the plate. Brass is a soft metal that dents easily, and also does not offer the corrosion resistance that stainless steel does. Since stainless steel is stable in any environment, they do not have to clear coat the plate.

Kick Plates can be mounted by screws, two way tape, and they can be glued to the door. Our plates come standard with screw mounting. The manufacture sends #6 x 5/8″ Oval Phillips Undercut Stainless Steel screws.  The number of holes on the screw mounted plates is determined by an industry wide standardize template. A height between 6-10″ will have 10 holes for plates up to 33″ and 12 holes for plates between 33 and 40″.

You can order these plates with tape mounting, but on larger plates and especially plates with a stainless steel base metal, it is not recommended. Stainless Steel plates are too heavy and they most likely will not stick. We can also ship them with no holes, if you want to drill your own holes. This is fine on the Brass and Aluminum base metals, but again Stainless Steel is very hard and a drill press would be recommended. You can glue them on, I would recommend liquid nails, and come C Clamps with the door on saw horses.

The Dor-o-Matic 1990 Housing and 1090 2090 Inactive Housing DCX has been around since the early 1970's.  Although it is now called a Falcon 1990, it is still the same device.  This housing is also the inactive housing on the Dor-O-Matic / Falcon 1090 and 2090 panic hardware.  The housing includes all of the interior springs, arm, and dogging screw.  Housing measures 7-1/2" long by 1-3/16" wide.  The center to center distance of the mounting studs is 6-1/4".

The LCN Door Closer 4111 FL is known as the Smoothee, and is one of the heaviest duty door closers made, the FL stands for Fusible Link. The Fusible Link is a lead clip that melts at roughly 115 degrees, and releases the door so it can close and contain a fire.  If you have a building were you have a high traffic and abusive, especially exterior doors, then this is the closer. The International Door Closer 526 Parallel Arm Bracket is one of two they offer.  This bracket us usually used with the Hold Open Arm 522, and is stronger than the 525 Parallel Arm bracket that ships with the closers.

The LCN 4040SE Sentronic Door Closer is a heavy duty, non-handed, non-sized closer/holder designed to provide single point hold-open for fire and smoke barrier doors. The door is held open until current interruption releases the holding mechanism and the door closes. Single lever (track) arm closer is specifically designed for interior doors. Choice of finishes, track functions, and installation accessories meet virtually all life safety requirements.  The SE stands for Single Point Electronic, with this closer the hold open point can only be one point, so the closer has to be positioned on the door to get the proper hold open point.

This technology has been around since 1972, but back then you would order the 4110SE or 4010SE.  These were  application specific closers, so you had to specify the hand of the door, door size,  and the type of mounting.  If you do have an older version, the 4040SE will replace it.

The Norton Door Closer 1601 has been around for the past 40 years.  With the advent of aluminum framed glass doors, Norton was on for the first manufactures to come up with a narrow stile door closer.  Because of this, it is still one of the most popular door closer model out there.  It is a Grade 1 closer and has adjustable closing, latching, and back check speeds.  The model we ship also has adjustable spring tension to work on a wider range of doors.  The hole spacing is 3/4” x 9-1/16”.

Older models may be stamped with Scoville or Eaton, which are the companies that used to own Norton.  We sometimes find 20-1624-4001, or 20-1604-4001 stamped on the back of the closer. If your door closer is stamped 20-1603-4001 or 20-1623-4001, you might want to double check the hole spacing. The 20-1603-4001 usually has a hole spacing of 3/4" x 8-3/16", you could use the International Door Closer 853 as a replacement.

International 8052-TP Delayed Action Door Closer

The International 8052-TP Delayed Action Door Closer is same  as the 8050 Series or 8051-TP, but with Delayed Action. Delayed Action is a function of the Door Closer hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic cylinder will hold the door open for up to 30 seconds to allow physically challenged individuals time to get through the door way. The Norton Door Closer Regular Arm is the standard arm that is shipped with the 9300, 1600, 8301, 8501 and 7500 door closers.  It will also work with the Yale 2300, 50, 3301, 3501 and 4400 series door closers.  This arm has had a bunch of different factory numbers over the years, including 1620-1, 7701-1 and 400-1.

12" Kickdown Door Holder Grand Standard

Frequently we are asked, “What is the heaviest duty kick down holder you sell?”  The answer to that question is any of  Grand Specialty door holders.  These door stops are American made and simply the best out there.   They have a shoe that is held in place by a screw, a rivet instead of a roll pin for the hinging mechanism, and a “wedge” instead of a piece of spring steel to hold up the leg.  They are constructed of steel, and not cast like all of the other door holders made.

Another feature is their well constructed rubber shoe can be adjusted down as the rubber shoe wears making the holder last way longer than their competitors. Another use for them is as a door floor lock if mounted on the other side of the door. Once kicked down there's no entry possible unless you slide a flat item under the door to lift the door holder leg out of the way and push the door open. It can be opened from the inside as normal with your foot or hand. A very inexpensive security lock.

The Ives Plunger Door Holder / Stop FS1153 is manufactured by H.B. Ives and features a contemporary yet economical method of positive Hold-Open.  This was another one of the Glynn-Johnson door stops that was merged in the H.B. Iver product line in the 1990's, and went by the 1153 part number.  This door stop is constructed in sturdy cast aluminum for years of service.  The spring operated plunger activates with minimal pressure, releasing instantly with a light tap on the plat-form lever.  The stop has a 1-5/8" throw or projection for all types of doors.  The ribbed non-marring rubber shoe is securely fastened to unit with a screw and is easily replaced when worn.  These are sometimes called pop-up or push down stops.  Ships with mounting screws.

The Cal-Royal 6600 Rim Device is a Grade 1 exit device.  It is designed for doors that have at least a 4-1/2 inch stile width. The 36 inch device has a 32 inch actual length and can cut down 6" (24 inch actual). The 48 inch device has an actual length of 44 inches and can be cut down 12 inch (34 inch actual).  Devices ships with 938 Strike and all the mounting screws.
