If you are working on maintenance for a building, then you may have come across some building codes that you must abide by for safety purposes. In some establishments, these building codes that are in place often include sections that require panic bars for exit doors to be installed. Whether a requirement or not, having exit bars installed on the single doors or double doors in a building can be a guaranteed safety solution.

We have about two pages of panic bars from top manufacturers to choose from. We carry panic bars with alarms, vertical rod panic bars, rim panic bars, panic bars with locks, panic bars for double doors, panic bars for single doors, panic bars for glass doors and more. Browse through our selection to gather some information before completing your purchase.

Panic Bar With Lock

Many exit bars have very specific locking mechanisms. Get to know more about the locks on some of the exit bars we have for sale.

One panic bar with lock that we carry is the Adams Rite 8800 Panic Device. These exit bars come with the mechanism that locks together the door and door frame. They are panic bars for glass doors with aluminum frames that are found on storefronts.

These exit bars come in aluminum or dark bronze with a few sizes to pick from. We also carry replacement parts for these exit bars in case a repair is ever needed.

A similar device, the Adams Rite 8800EL Electric Latch Retraction Panic Hardware, has most of the same features as the 8800. The 8800EL differs in that it has an internal solenoid that is used to retract the latch bolt. You also have the option to choose the voltage with these exit bars.

Some exit bars such as the Doromatic 1990 Panic Device have steel latches for extra safety. Some exit bars such as the International 5530S Surface Vertical Rod Device-Light Duty come with a latch bolt that instantly locks when the door has been shut.

Panic Bars With Alarms

We also carry a wide range of panic bars with alarms. One of these is the Cal Royal 2000 Alarmed Exit Device. These push bars will sound a horn when the door is opened.

You can change the settings for how long the horn should sound for when it is triggered. These come in a few sizes and colors such as aluminum, gold or dark brown.

Cal Royal is not the only brand that makes panic bars with alarms. Von Duprin is another. Take their Series 2670 Exit Alarm Lock for example. These exit bars come with alarms for extra security and use a 9 volt battery.

Panic Bars for Double Doors

If you are looking specifically for panic bars for double doors, it’s important to understand which exit bars work with double doors and which kinds only work on single doors. The Cal Royal 7700 Rim Exit Devices are heavy-duty panic bars for double doors OR single doors. These are meant for buildings with high traffic flow and they come as rim or vertical rod.

Von Duprin is another brand that makes a number of panic bar for double doors. Take a look at the Von Duprin panic bars we sell and you will find plenty that work on double doors.
