4" Kickdown Door Holder FS452

The H.B. Ives FS452 is another classic kick down door stop.  It features a simple hold and release, activated with a touch of the foot, and is constructed of cast bronze or brass depending on the finish you are ordering.  A simple stainless steel spring clip holds the stop in the up position.  The non-marring rubber shoe is replaceable, and they have a corrugated bottom to prevent sliding on the floor and a secure grip.  This stop is shipped with matching finish sheet metal screws.   The 4" model is for door to floor clearances of 2" or less.  The hole spacing is 19/32" x 1-47/64".

Ives FS544 Kick Down Door Holder has been a staple in schools for many years due to its heavy duty construction and inexpensive price.  This is one of our most popular Kickdown Door Holder/Stop for the past 35 years.  It is constructed of durable cast iron, which has great strength characteristics.  The shoe is made of a non-marring rubber, which is replaceable.  The shoe is also held in place with a screw, which makes it a great option in schools and area of high vandalism.  This holder will work on door to floor clearances of 2" or less.  The hole spacing is 7/8" x 1-9/16".

Ives FS436 Floor Dome Stop, another product made by Ives that has been around for 50 plus years.  Take a walk around a school made in the 1960's and you will probably find this door stop, or the hole were it used to be.  This Dome Stop is used on doors without thresholds that have a bottom of the door to floor clearance of less than 5/8".  The are constructed of cast aluminum or cast bronze depending on the finish you are looking for.  The rubber stop is non-marring and replaceable.  The stop has a base that is 1-3/4" x 2" oval, an overall height of 1" and a base height of 3/16".

The Plunger Door Holder / Stop DH6000 is one of the most common plunger style door stops we offer.   They are constructed of a cast zinc alloy that is then electro statically painted to either an aluminum or dark brown color.   It features a non marring rubber tip that is replaceable, and we keep in stock.  The body measures approximately 7" long and is 1-5/8" wide.  The throw on this stop is 1-1/8".  These are sometimes called pop-up or push down door stops.  This product ships with the mounting screws.

The Ives Wall Door Stop / Holder WS45 was introduced about 50 years ago as the Glynn-Johnson W45A or GJW45A.  When they were purchased by H.B. Ives, it became the WS45.  They are constructed of cast Brass or Bronze and then plated to the desired finish.  This door stop is unique because the wall does not have to be parallel to the door for it to latch and hold the door open.  Spring loaded roller rides up the face of the strike, seating itself on the strike, holding the door firmly in the open position.  A heavy rubber pad cushions the shock and absorbs the sound.  With unit mounted on door and the strike on wall, vertical adjustment is available on body.  The strike is adjustable 45 degrees left or right, both adjustments easily accomplished at time of installation or at a later date.  WS45 strike is furnished with wood screws for drywall mounting.

These standard metal extensions can be used with the LCN SEM magnet door holders to increase the holder projection. The treads on this piece are 3/8-16.

The Glynn-Johnson 410 Series Overhead Door Holder/Stop Concealed Mounting is the perfect combination of form and function, Glynn-Johnson 410 series holders and stops offer effective door control and a low-profile design. Each model is constructed so that the channel is encased in the door and the jamb bracket is mortised in the frame. When the door is open, the arm and jamb bracket are visible. Conversely, when the door is in the closed position, the entire holder is completely concealed.

The 410 fits in a mortised channel on top of the door, if your doors are not mortised on the top of the door, you would have to mortise them out.  Replaces the older version GJ310, GJ320 and GJ330 series.

The Ives Wall Door Stop / Holder WS40 is a door holder that has some history.  We see this product in many schools, hospitals and churches that were built in the 50's, 60's and 70's.   The WS40 was originally made and designed by Glynn-Johnson out of Chicago, Illinois, and was called the W40 or GJW40.   H.B. Ives purchased Glynn-Johnson in 1990's and mergered this product into there offering, and changed the part # to WS40.  The holder is made of cast brass or bronze and plated to your desired finish.  The holding mechanism has a rubber bumper inside it to act as a door stop, and a brass spring loaded roller to act as a holder.   The product ships with a universal screw package to mount on all types of walls.   For the best results with this stop/holder the door and wall should be about 3-1/2" apart in the open position.

The Glynn-Johnson 81 Series Overhead Door Holder Surface Mounted provide rugged, heavy-duty door control. The jointed-arm design provides the most effective stop mechanism available. The shock absorber bracket is surface mounted, usually with sex bolts. The jamb bracket is mounted to the stop of the frame, so a minimum of door and frame preparation is required.
