The International Door Closer 854P Series is a common closer we see on a lot of storefront aluminum framed doors.  This is one of the last closers out there to still have sizing.  By sizing I mean each door closer has a spring size of different tension so the closer is selected depending on door size and whether it is interior or exterior.  These days we usually use this door closer as a replacement of existing doors.   The closer features two adjustment valves for closing and latching speeds.  The cylinder is constructed of precision cast aluminum.  If you have an exterior door I would recommend the 880 Series, which is the same door closer, but has a back check valve.  The back check valves will slow the door down if it is caught by a gust of wind.  It ships with a regular arm and parallel arm bracket.  This door closer is for use on doors up to 42” interior or 36” exterior doors.

Floor Door Stop / Holder FS41

This floor mounted door holder has been around since the 1960's. It used to go by the name Glynn Johnson GJF41A or F41A, and was brought over to the H.B. Ives line in the 1990's and now goes by the part # FS41. Many schools and hospitals have this door holder in use today. It features: Automatic door holders ideal for heavy-traffic situations that require a simple, fool-proof, Hold-Open device. Forged from brass. Unit is activated automatically when door is opened. A firm pull on door releases the mechanism. Strikes accommodate different door to floor clearances. Model numbers are determined by strike/door-to-floor clearances. Holder position on door is adjustable.

LCN Door Closer 4111 HCUSH Hold Open

Standard 4110 series closer shipped with HOLD OPEN CUSH N STOP arm, standard plastic cover, 4110-201 FIFTH SCREW SPACER and self reaming and tapping screws. Sized cylinders adjustable for interior doors to 5’0” and exterior doors to 4’0”. Non-sized cylinder adjustable for interior doors to 4’6” and exterior doors to 3’6”. Closer mounts parallel arm, specify right or left swinging door. 4111 cylinder meets ADA requirements. The cush hold open arm allows for a stop and hold open positions up to 110 degrees. "T" handle on arm will release door for closing, locking pin can be retracted for normal door closing operation.

The 4111 is an application specific closer, meaning it will only work when mounted on the door, on the push side. This is known as a parallel arm application. The Norton Traditional Door Closer 78 B/D is a door closer used in historic buildings.  This is a replica of the original cast iron door closer used from the 1920’s to 1960’s.  The new version is made of a cast aluminum alloy material, and should only be used when you are trying to keep historic designations.  The hole spacing on this closer is 1-3/8" x 4-1/4”.

The LCN Door Closer 4041XP-HCUSH is the 4040XP, eXtra Protection closer with the 4040XP-3049HCUSH Hold Open Arm.  You get the same performance of one of the most revered closers with the functionality of the CUSH hold open arm.   The cylinder features cast iron construction, forged steel arm, double heat treated steel pinion, non-handed, LCN® “Green Dial” spring force indicator, Peel-n-Stick templates, UL and cUL Listed, 3⁄4″ journal diameter pinion, full compliment bearing, and tested and certified under ANSI standard A156.4, Grade 1.  With this package you have the flexibility to mount the closer on a left, right, but it has to be mounted in the push side of the door is a parallel arm type application.

The Norton Door Closer 1601 has been around for the past 40 years.  With the advent of aluminum framed glass doors, Norton was on for the first manufactures to come up with a narrow stile door closer.  Because of this, it is still one of the most popular door closer model out there.  It is a Grade 1 closer and has adjustable closing, latching, and back check speeds.  The model we ship also has adjustable spring tension to work on a wider range of doors.  The hole spacing is 3/4” x 9-1/16”.

Older models may be stamped with Scoville or Eaton, which are the companies that used to own Norton.  We sometimes find 20-1624-4001, or 20-1604-4001 stamped on the back of the closer. If your door closer is stamped 20-1603-4001 or 20-1623-4001, you might want to double check the hole spacing. The 20-1603-4001 usually has a hole spacing of 3/4" x 8-3/16", you could use the International Door Closer 853 as a replacement.

International 8052-TP Delayed Action Door Closer

The International 8052-TP Delayed Action Door Closer is same  as the 8050 Series or 8051-TP, but with Delayed Action. Delayed Action is a function of the Door Closer hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic cylinder will hold the door open for up to 30 seconds to allow physically challenged individuals time to get through the door way. The concealed LCN Door Closer 2031 -2035 Pacer® is a heavy duty closer designed to fit in a narrow, minimum 1 3/4” aluminum transom.  It is considered an application specific closer, due to the cylinder spring sizing and handing.  The standard 2030 series closer shipped with standard arm, standard track, mounting/finish plate, and wood and machine screw pack.  Aluminum frame requires minimum 1 3/4”  x 4”  tube.

The International Door Closer Main Arm 520 is a replacement arms used on the 640, 650, 850 and 880 series.  This arm is probably used on other International Closers also.  The arm measures 12" overall length, and fits a 7/16" square shaft.

The Fusible Link is a lead clip that melts at roughly 115 degrees, and releases the door so it can close and contain a fire.  If you have a building were you have a high traffic and abusive, especially exterior doors, then this is the closer. The 4111 is an application specific closer, meaning it will only work when mounted on the door, on the push side. This is known as a parallel arm application. The International Door Closer 44CI Adjustable Spring Power is one of there heaver duty closers.   It is designed to line up with the LCN 4040 hole spacing at more than half the price.  It features a rugged cast iron body with a forged steel arm.  It also uses all weather fluid, is non handed and is non sized, meaning you can adjust the door for any size door.  The door closer we are selling here come with a regular arm and parallel arm bracket, so the closer can be mounted on the left or right, push, pull or top jamp.  The closer has 4 adjustments, closing, latching, and back check valves, a long with a spring power adjustment.

The LCN Door Closer 4041XP-CUSH is the same cylinder as the 4040XP, but with a CUSH arm (4040XP-3077CNS).  This closer can only be mounted in the parallel arm configuration.  With this closer you get the XP heavy duty cylinder with the heavy duty CUSH arm.

The Ives Wall Door Stop / Holder WS45 was introduced about 50 years ago as the Glynn-Johnson W45A or GJW45A.  When they were purchased by H.B. Ives, it became the WS45.  They are constructed of cast Brass or Bronze and then plated to the desired finish.  This door stop is unique because the wall does not have to be parallel to the door for it to latch and hold the door open.  Spring loaded roller rides up the face of the strike, seating itself on the strike, holding the door firmly in the open position.  A heavy rubber pad cushions the shock and absorbs the sound.  With unit mounted on door and the strike on wall, vertical adjustment is available on body.  The strike is adjustable 45 degrees left or right, both adjustments easily accomplished at time of installation or at a later date.  WS45 strike is furnished with wood screws for drywall mounting.

Standard 4040 LCN series closer shipped with regular arm, standard plastic cover, and self reaming and tapping screws.  Non-sized cylinder is adjustable for interior doors to 5’0” and exterior doors to 4’0”.  Closer mounts hinge side, top jamb, and parallel arm w/PA Shoe on either right or left swinging doors.  Closers to meet ADA requirements.

The International Door Closer 9001-TP Series is a relatively newer closer.  This closer features fully adjustable spring tension, closing and latching speeds and back check.  The narrow design allows for mounting on the top jamb of store front doors without a drop plate.  The closer is non handed, and can be mounted on the push, pull  or top jamb positions.  It meets all ADA requirements and is a Grade 1 closer, the heaviest rating possible.

For us to do that we would need to know which model you have (4110SE, 4010SE, ect..) and the hand of the door, see diagram. This arm is for a discontinued LCN Door Closer. We can not allow returns, each arm is specail ordered.

The Barrier Free version just means you can turn the spring tension down to a size 1 spring, which will meet the ADA codes (less than 5 pounds of resistance). The model we ship also has adjustable spring tension to work on a wider range of doors. The hole spacing is 3/4” x 9-1/16”.

The Norton Apollo Door Closer 7500 has been around for quite a long time, and was designed to replace the older 7700, which are still made. The beauty of the 7500 is that is can be mounted left or right, push, pull or top jamb, were as the 7700 you had to specify all those attributes, which made stocking them a head ache. This is a Grade 1 closer, and is extremely durable. If you are looking for a 7500BF, the barrier free version, the new 7500 is barrier free, and will do the trick. This closer has a 2-3/8" x 6-3/4" hole spacing.

Floor Door Stop FS442

This Floor Mounted Door Stop used to go by the name Glynn Johnson GJFB19 or FB19. When Ingersoll Rand purchased H. B. Ives in the 1990's they brought it over under the Ives Floor Mounted Door Stop FS442. Features: Designed to blend well with all types of construction and provide a minimum of hindrance to cleaning efforts. Accommodates door undercut up to 2". Heavy-Duty cast brass or aluminum construction. Non-marring rubber bumper. This door stop has an overall height 2-7/8". Mounted shield and screws included.

The Ives Plunger Door Holder / Stop FS1154 has been around for about 50 years.  Before the 1990's is was known as the Glynn-Johnson 1154, and when they were merged in the H.B. Ives line, the part number was changed to FS1154.  This product is constructed of cast brass or bronze that is then plated to the desired finish.  Plunger and internal parts are plated steel and provide a 1-1/4" throw for all types of doors.  Plunger is easily activated with minimal pressure, releasing instantly with a light tap on the platform lever.  The shoe is non-marring rubber that is securely fastened with a screw in flanged cup to prevent movement or loss, and when worn, shoes are easily replaced and are kept in stock as the GJ1154.  These are sometimes called pop-up or push down stops.  Ships with matching finish mounting screws.

The Ives Wall Mounted Door Stop WS33 is another hold back part from the Glynn-Johnson door stop era.  I can not remember the Glynn-Johnson part #, but when Ives purchased them, they changed it to WS33.  This stop is constructed of cast brass that is then plated to a brushed chrome finish.  It features a replaceable rubber bumper with offset shoulder screws into cavity on body to prevent loss or theft.  And a sloping design that discourages vandalism.The base height is 3" with a width of 2-1/4", and a projection of 3-3/4",  WS33 is furnished with wood screws for drywall mounting.
