The Sargent 281 Door Closer is also known as the Powerglide, This closers meets ADA requirements, meets the Buy American Act, and is certified Grade 1, the heaviest rating possible.  The closer has the capability to be mounted on the push, pull or top jamb, and is non handed.  This closer is the replacement for the 1250 and 1251 series closers.  This closer has been the replacement for the 1250 since about 2000.  It is manufactured of an aluminum alloy.

The Cal Royal Products 300 Series Door Closer comes in two versions.   One version is the size 3 to 6 spring, which would be for larger exterior doors.  The 3 to 6 spring size is for doors 36" to 48" wide.  The second version is the size 1 to 4 spring size.  The 1 to 4 is considered a Barrier Free door closer, because the spring tension can be turned down to less than 8 pounds of resistance, making the door easy to open.  The 1 to 4 should be used on interior doors and smaller, less than 36" wide exterior doors.  This door closer is a standard template closer with a hole spacing of 3/4" x 9-1/16" center to center, which is what we find on many aluminum framed glass storefront doors.   This closer has a 5 year warranty and is considered a Grade 1 closer, the heaviest duty rating possible.

5" Kickdown Door Holder FS555

The H.B. Ives FS555 Kick Down Door Holder has been a staple in schools for many years due to its heavy duty construction and inexpensive price.  It is constructed of durable cast iron, which has great strength characteristics.  The shoe is made of a non-marring rubber, which is replaceable.  The shoe is also held in place with a screw, which makes it a great option in schools and area of high vandalism.  This holder will work on door to floor clearances of 3" or less.  The hole spacing is 7/8" x 1-9/16".

The Yale Door Closer 51 Series has been around since the early 1970's.  With the advent of the aluminum framed storefront doors, this door closer was a perfect fit.  The 50 series is a non-sized, non-handed closer that can be mounted on the push (parallel arm), pull (regular arm) or top jamb.   A Grade 1 closer certification, means it is one of the more heavy duty closers out there.  Older models may be stamped with Scoville or Eaton, which are the companies that used to own Yale.  We some times find 20-0054-4001 or 20-0254-4001 stamped on the back of the closer.   Ships with all mounting screws and a parallel arm bracket.  The hole spacing is 3/4" by 9-1/16".

The Ives Wall Door Stop / Holder WS445 has been a staple of the Ives product line for at least the last 45 years, and is the same product as the WS443 except it has a holder function.  The stop features cast brass construction and then plated the the desired finish, which makes it ideal for interior or exterior use.   The rubber tip is a non marring rubber, that can be replaced and we keep in stock.  The stop has a 2-1/4" base diameter and a 3-11-16" projection from the wall.  This product ships with an expansion shield and lead shield.  This holder is considered a manually holder due to the fact you have to bend over and latch and unlatch it.

The new version is Barrier Free Complaint.  The hole spacing is 3/4" x 12", the cylinder is sometimes cast 20-3301-1001 on the back of the cast aluminum cylinder.  This closer ships with all of the mounting hardware and parallel arm bracket.

The Cal Royal Products 900 Series Door Closer is a unique one, it is the only closer that has the 3/4" x 11-1/8" hole spacing.  We have seen a few versions of this closer, some have 6 mounting holes, and some have 4.  If your closer has a spacing of 11-1/8", and has 3 holes on each size, this is the only closer I know of that is like that.  The 900 Series is a Grade 1 closer, the heaviest duty rating possible.  The door closer has adjustable spring tension, closing, latching and back check valves and is Barrier Free rated.  The package comes with all of the  mounting screws and a parallel arm bracket, so it can be mounted on the left, right, push, pull or top jamb for mounting.

The Cal Royal Products CR441 Door Closer is an inexpensive replacement for the LCN 4040.  The mounting holes on the CR441 matches the 4040, at more than 1/2 the cost.  This closer will work on the left or right, push, pull or top jamb for mounting.   Just like the LCN 4040 it features adjustable spring tension, closing, latching and back check speeds.  It is considered a Grade 1 closer, which is the heaviest rating possible.

The Jackson 20330 Concealed Door Closer has been around since the late 1960's early 1970's.  They are used on aluminum framed storefront doors, that have a narrow stile (frame) around the glass.  The closer is tucked up in the header of the door frame.  Jackson has been a leader in this style of door closer for almost 50 years.   The closer is manufactured in the U.S.A. under strict ISO 9001 guidelines and is designed to give long lasting, maintenance-free performance. The new version is Barrier Free Complaint.  The hole spacing is 3/4" x 12", the cylinder is sometimes cast 20-3301-1001 on the back of the cast aluminum cylinder.  This closer ships with all of the mounting hardware and parallel arm bracket.

The Yale 2701 is a non handed door closer that can be mounted push, pull or top jamb. The closer is adjustable 1-6 sizing, so it will work on any size door, interior or exterior.  The closer ships with a full cover, and all the mounting screws. This a Grade 1 closer, which is the highest rating possible. The mounting is 3/4 x 12 inches on centers.

One of the problems out in industry today is vandalism.  These Yale Replacement Covers will replace your existing cracked and broken covers.  The covers are available for the 4400, 3300, and 3500 models.  They are made of impact resistance plastic.  The cover shown is for the 4400, in the aluminum finish.

This floor mounted door holder has been around since the 1960's. It used to go by the name Glynn Johnson GJF42A or F42A, and was brought over to the H.B. Ives line in the 1990's and now goes by the part # FS42. Many schools and hospitals have this door holder in use today. It features: Automatic door holders ideal for heavy-traffic situations that require a simple, fool-proof, Hold-Open device. Forged from brass. Unit is activated automatically when door is opened. A firm pull on door releases the mechanism. Strikes accommodate different door to floor clearances. Model numbers are determined by strike/door-to-floor clearances. Doromatic Door Closer Hold Open Arm Only

Doromatic Door Closer Hold Open Arm. Includes everything is the image. Can be used to convert you regular non hold arm to a Hold Open Door Closer. Arm holds the door open when door is rotated open. The Russwin 2800, 2810 and 2820 are no longer available. They have been replaced by the Corbin Russwin DC6210, which has the same hole spacings and arm. You will not have to redrill or modify your door to make the DC6210 work in place of your existing 2800, 2810 or 2820 door closers. The Corbin Russwin DC6210 has a little bit larger body due to the increased functionality of this closer. This new closer will meet all the ADA requirements.

The ALREX hinge is a full function hydraulic door closer hinge. It contains all the features of a door closer, closing and latching speed control, power adjustment, and optional hold open feature. They are available in 4, 4.5 and 5 inch (leaf height), and are currently available in Stainless and Black finishes.

Door Handing:

The Sargent Door Closer 1431 is also known as the Powerglide.  This closer meets ADA requirements and has a capability to be mounted on the push, pull or top jamb, and is non handed.  This closer can be used as a direct replacement for the older version 1230 or 1231 Sargent Closers without having to re drill the mounting holes.  This closer has been the replacement for the 1230 since about 2000.  It is manufactured of an aluminum alloy.

Retrofits existing SARGENT 1230/1231 Series Closer installations

The Ives WS402CVX Wall Door Stop is our heaviest duty wall stop of this design.  They are constructed of a heavy duty cast brass base that is then plated to your desired finish.   The wall stop is 2-1/2" in diameter and has a 1" projection.  It features a special retainer cup that makes the rubber tamper resistant.  This stop ships with screw and drywall anchor.

The Dorma RTS88 Door Closer is an overhead concealed closer for both single and double-acting doors.  It is one of the more popular overhead concealed closers on the market today.  The RTS88 will consist of a steel cam, rollers, and springs housed in a compact cast iron body.  Closers will be capable of being installed in minimum 1-3/4" x 4" headers. RTS88 will have maximum door opening to 90º or 105º, trim conditions permitting. Sweep and latch speed will be controlled by two noncritical adjustment valves from 90º or 105º to closed. Built-in pressure relief valve will protect the closer from abuse caused by forced closing. A mechanical backcheck combined with a positive stop at 90º or 105º will be provided to protect the door and frame. The RTS88 closer will be available with hold open at 90º or 105º, or without hold open. The product shown here is just the replacement cylinder.

All PR80 Closers are UL listed and warranted for ten years. Parallel Arm Brackets and mounting hardware are included with each closer permitting universal installation for regular, top jamb or parallel arm applications. The closer is supplied with a standard plastic slim style cover.

The closer is sized for 2 to 5 spring tension and will work on doors 24" to 54" Wide and 33 to 264 Lbs. This closer has a hole spacing of 3/4 x 9-1/16 inches.

The Ives Roller Bumper Offset RB470 are ideal if you have situations where doors meet each.   They are constructed cast brass or bronze and are then plated to the desired finish.   The arm projects 5" and the base has a 1-11/16" x 2-1/4".   The device was just like the Glynn-Johnson RB3 or GJRB3.
