The LCN Door Closer 4111 FL is known as the Smoothee, and is one of the heaviest duty door closers made, the FL stands for Fusible Link. The Fusible Link is a lead clip that melts at roughly 115 degrees, and releases the door so it can close and contain a fire.  If you have a building were you have a high traffic and abusive, especially exterior doors, then this is the closer. The 4111 is an application specific closer, meaning it will only work when mounted on the door, on the push side. This is known as a parallel arm application. The cylinder is fully adjustable and will work on doors up to 56" exterior door, and can be adjust down to ADA required levels. We ship the 4111 FL model, which is a hold open fusible lind, on this page. The cylinder mounting holes are 2-1/2" by 6".

The Norton Door Closer 8501 is sometimes called the Omni Door Closer.  This door closer features a cast aluminum body, is a Grade 1 closer and has adjustable closing, latching, and back check speeds.  This closer is a non sized closer, meaning you adjust the spring tension to meet closing requirement for a ADA Barrier Free application all the way up to a 48” exterior door.  You cover might have 8501/8501BF 3501/3501BF, but the new version will cover the BF and non BF closers.  The difference between this closer and the 8301 is the size of the plastic cover.  The 8301 has a slim cover, and the 8501 has full cover.  The hole spacing on this door closer is 3/4” x 12”.

The Norton Door Closer 1601 has been around for the past 40 years.  With the advent of aluminum framed glass doors, Norton was on for the first manufactures to come up with a narrow stile door closer.  Because of this, it is still one of the most popular door closer model out there.  It is a Grade 1 closer and has adjustable closing, latching, and back check speeds.  The model we ship also has adjustable spring tension to work on a wider range of doors.  The hole spacing is 3/4” x 9-1/16”.

Older models may be stamped with Scoville or Eaton, which are the companies that used to own Norton.  We sometimes find 20-1624-4001, or 20-1604-4001 stamped on the back of the closer. If your door closer is stamped 20-1603-4001 or 20-1623-4001, you might want to double check the hole spacing. The 20-1603-4001 usually has a hole spacing of 3/4" x 8-3/16", you could use the International Door Closer 853 as a replacement.

LCN Door Closer Fusible Link Arm

Adjustable nut allows door closer arm to lock when the preselect position is reached. Fusible Link will hold door until heat melts the "Link" and then the door will shut. Used on Fire Doors to control a spreading fire.

The Norton Door Closer Regular Arm is the standard arm that is shipped with the 9300, 1600, 8301, 8501 and 7500 door closers.  It will also work with the Yale 2300, 50, 3301, 3501 and 4400 series door closers.  This arm has had a bunch of different factory numbers over the years, including 1620-1, 7701-1 and 400-1.

The LCN Door Closer 4041XP-HCUSH is the 4040XP, eXtra Protection closer with the 4040XP-3049HCUSH Hold Open Arm.  You get the same performance of one of the most revered closers with the functionality of the CUSH hold open arm.   The cylinder features cast iron construction, forged steel arm, double heat treated steel pinion, non-handed, LCN® “Green Dial” spring force indicator, Peel-n-Stick templates, UL and cUL Listed, 3⁄4″ journal diameter pinion, full compliment bearing, and tested and certified under ANSI standard A156.4, Grade 1.  With this package you have the flexibility to mount the closer on a left, right, but it has to be mounted in the push side of the door is a parallel arm type application.

This is the bracket that is shipped with the Rw/PA and Hw/PA arms.  A parallel arm closer is a door closer that has the arm parallel to the door when the door is closed. This part is also known as the 1260-62PA, 1460-62PA, 4030-62PA, and 4040-62PA. Ships with mounting screws.

The Cal-Royal 6600 Rim Device is a Grade 1 exit device.  It is designed for doors that have at least a 4-1/2 inch stile width. The International Door Closer 44CI Adjustable Spring Power is one of there heaver duty closers.   It is designed to line up with the LCN 4040 hole spacing at more than half the price.  It features a rugged cast iron body with a forged steel arm.  It also uses all weather fluid, is non handed and is non sized, meaning you can adjust the door for any size door.  The door closer we are selling here come with a regular arm and parallel arm bracket, so the closer can be mounted on the left or right, push, pull or top jamp.  The closer has 4 adjustments, closing, latching, and back check valves, a long with a spring power adjustment.

The concealed LCN Door Closer 2031 -2035 Pacer® is a heavy duty closer designed to fit in a narrow, minimum 1 3/4” aluminum transom.  It is considered an application specific closer, due to the cylinder spring sizing and handing.  The standard 2030 series closer shipped with standard arm, standard track, mounting/finish plate, and wood and machine screw pack.  Aluminum frame requires minimum 1 3/4”  x 4”  tube.

The LCN Door Closer 4041XP-CUSH is the same cylinder as the 4040XP, but with a CUSH arm (4040XP-3077CNS).  This closer can only be mounted in the parallel arm configuration.  With this closer you get the XP heavy duty cylinder with the heavy duty CUSH arm.

The Norton Door Closer 1601BF Barrier Free has been around for about 10 years. With the advent of aluminum framed glass doors, Norton was one of the first manufactures to come up with a narrow stile door closer. Because of this, it is still one of the most popular door closer models out there. It is a Grade 1 closer and has adjustable closing, latching, and back check speeds. The Barrier Free version just means you can turn the spring tension down to a size 1 spring, which will meet the ADA codes (less than 5 pounds of resistance). The model we ship also has adjustable spring tension to work on a wider range of doors. The hole spacing is 3/4” x 9-1/16”.

Norton 1600 Installation Instructions

The International Door Closer 1802-P - Fixed Spring Closer is one of the heaviest duty closers in the International product line.   It offers a 10 year warranty, and is Grade 1 rated, which is the highest rating you can have.  The closer features three adjustment valves for closing,latching speeds and one for back check.  The cylinder is constructed of precision cast aluminum.   It ships with a regular arm and parallel arm bracket.   This is one of the last closers out there to still have sizing.  By sizing I mean each door closer has a spring size of different tension so the closer is selected depending on door size and wether it is interior or exterior.  These days we usually use this door closer as a replacement of existing doors.   This door closer is for use on doors up to 36” interior and is not recommended for exterior doors.

The LCN Door Closer Cush-n-Stop Arm 3077CNS is a Non-handed parallel arm that features solid forged steel main arm and forearm with stop in soffit shoe.  Specify your current closers model number when ordering. The International Door Closer Main Arm 520 is a replacement arms used on the 640, 650, 850 and 880 series.  This arm is probably used on other International Closers also.  The arm measures 12" overall length, and fits a 7/16" square shaft.

The Norton Traditional Door Closer 78 B/D is a door closer used in historic buildings.  This is a replica of the original cast iron door closer used from the 1920’s to 1960’s.  The new version is made of a cast aluminum alloy material, and should only be used when you are trying to keep historic designations.  The hole spacing on this closer is 1-3/8" x 4-1/4”.

The Door Sweep 1" Long Rubber has an over height of 1-7/8", with 1" of it being the gray rubber seal.  The mounting rail is constructed of extruded aluminum and is available in aluminum or dark brown finishes.  This sweep ships with screws.

The LCN Door Closer 4021 FL is shipped with fusible link arm, standard plastic cover, and self reaming and tapping screws. This closer is designed to hold open fire doors, when the fusible link melts, it releases the hold open arm, so the door will close.  Sized cylinders for interior doors to 5’0” and exterior doors to 4’0”. Non-sized cylinder adjustable for interior doors to 4’6” and exterior doors to 3’6”. Included arm has a fusible link that melts at 120 degrees, allowing to door to close. Door can be closed any time with a gentle pull.  Closer mounts top jamb (push side), specify right or left swinging door. 4021 cylinder meets ADA requirements. 

The LCN Sentronic Overhead Concealed Door Closer 3130SE is shipped with a standard arm, 24V or 120V SE track (please specify), track roller, and wood and machine screw pack. Sized cylinders for interior doors to 4’0”. Functions as full rack and pinion door closer when hold-open is not engaged or current is interrupted. Handed for right or left swinging door. Interfaces with fire alarm systems.

The International Door Closer 9001-TP Series is a relatively newer closer.  This closer features fully adjustable spring tension, closing and latching speeds and back check.  The narrow design allows for mounting on the top jamb of store front doors without a drop plate.  The closer is non handed, and can be mounted on the push, pull  or top jamb positions.  It meets all ADA requirements and is a Grade 1 closer, the heaviest rating possible.

The Norton Apollo Door Closer 7500 has been around for quite a long time, and was designed to replace the older 7700, which are still made. The beauty of the 7500 is that is can be mounted left or right, push, pull or top jamb, were as the 7700 you had to specify all those attributes, which made stocking them a head ache. This is a Grade 1 closer, and is extremely durable. If you are looking for a 7500BF, the barrier free version, the new 7500 is barrier free, and will do the trick. This closer has a 2-3/8" x 6-3/4" hole spacing.

The International Door Closer 525 Parallel Bracket is the standard bracket shipped with most of there closers.

The International Door Closer Arm 3010-PT is for end loading top arm assembly (7/8" depth top rail). All screws included with package.  This arm is for center hung concealed closer applications.   For use with the 2000, 3000 and 5000 series International Door Closers.
