The Russwin 2800, 2810 and 2820 are no longer available. They have been replaced by the Corbin Russwin DC6210, which has the same hole spacings and arm. You will not have to redrill or modify your door to make the DC6210 work in place of your existing 2800, 2810 or 2820 door closers. The Corbin Russwin DC6210 has a little bit larger body due to the increased functionality of this closer. This new closer will meet all the ADA requirements.

The Dor-O-Matic 1690/1790/2390 Dogging Hex Shaft is the piece that your dog key (allen wrench) fits into the lock the device in the open or dogged position.  This shaft is used on the 1690, 1790, and 2390 device.  The Dor-o-Matic Panic Devices have been around since the late 1960’s, but have most recently been known as the Falcon Panic Device from a name change they had in about 2008.  They are basically the same device, with the same parts, just a different name plate.  The part that the hex key fits into is only about 1/4" deep, because of that these tend to get rounded out, so the key will not move the shaft. 

To remove the old shaft just pull with a pair of Channel Locks or Pliers.  To reinstall, just press it back in to position, you might have to bend the holding tabs back down, but we very rarely have to do this.  The manufacture part number on this is SHAFT.101.

Effective December 20, 2024 the 2390 has been discontinued.  Falcon Doromatic is working on retro-fit plates to work with the 1690.

Frequently we are asked, “What is the heaviest duty kick down holder  you sell?”  The answer to that question is any of  Grand Specialty door holders.  These door stops are American made and simply the best out there.   They have a shoe that is held in place by a screw, a rivet instead of a roll pin for the hinging mechanism, and a “wedge” instead of a piece of spring steel to hold up the leg.  They are constructed of steel, and not cast like all of the other door holders made.

Another feature is their well constructed shoe can be adjusted down as the rubber wears making the holder last way longer than their competitors. Another use for them is as a door floor lock if mounted on the other side of the door. Once kicked down there's no entry possible unless you slide a flat item under the door to lift the door holder leg out of the way and push the door open. The Yale Door Closer 51 Series has been around since the early 1970's.  With the advent of the aluminum framed storefront doors, this door closer was a perfect fit.  The 50 series is a non-sized, non-handed closer that can be mounted on the push (parallel arm), pull (regular arm) or top jamb.   A Grade 1 closer certification, means it is one of the more heavy duty closers out there.  Older models may be stamped with Scoville or Eaton, which are the companies that used to own Yale.  We some times find 20-0054-4001 or 20-0254-4001 stamped on the back of the closer.   Ships with all mounting screws and a parallel arm bracket.  The hole spacing is 3/4" by 9-1/16".

The Ives Wall Door Stop / Holder WS40 is a door holder that has some history.  We see this product in many schools, hospitals and churches that were built in the 50's, 60's and 70's.   The WS40 was originally made and designed by Glynn-Johnson out of Chicago, Illinois, and was called the W40 or GJW40.   H.B. Ives purchased Glynn-Johnson in 1990's and mergered this product into there offering, and changed the part # to WS40.  The holder is made of cast brass or bronze and plated to your desired finish.  The holding mechanism has a rubber bumper inside it to act as a door stop, and a brass spring loaded roller to act as a holder.   The product ships with a universal screw package to mount on all types of walls.   For the best results with this stop/holder the door and wall should be about 3-1/2" apart in the open position.

The Von Duprin Panic Device 230 DT Trim will work on the 22 and 2227 series only.  When the exit device is dogged open, the plate is operational.  The plate measures 3" wide by 12-1/16" high with a plate thickness of 3-/32".

The Von Duprin 5547 Concealed Vertical Rod Exit Device is used primarily on aluminum framed glass doors, otherwise known as Narrow Stile Doors.   It is one of the most heavy duty cross bar devices made, and has been in production since at least the 1970's.  It will fit on Stile widths of 1-3/4", and ships with all the mounting screws, dog key and all the necessary strikes.  The device is also non handed.

To order select Finish and Type of Door Construction.   For Metal Doors select Metal Door, for Wood Doors, make sure you select Wood Door, the Wood Door model has additional brackets for mounting.

The Falcon Dor-o-Matic 3049DS Dead Stop Hold Open Arm is used on their SC60, SC70 and SC80 Door closers only. This arm is non-hnaded, stamped, heavy duty, hold-opn parallel arm includes a positive mechanical stop and non-adjustable forearm assembly for high volume traffic and harsh conditions.
