The Von Duprin 107765 Plunger Release Bracket is used with the Fire Rated 8827-F Top Latch. When the door closes, the Release Pin on the 88VR10-F (050462) hits the post and releases the latch from the retracted position. Once the top latch is released, it drops the bottom latch into the floor.

The Von Duprin 88 End Case 050435 is also known as the hinge case, meaning it is on the hinge side of the door. This End Cap is used on all of the Von Duprin 88 models, which include 88, 8827, 8847 and 8875. This piece does all the lifting of the cross bar, so it is an important component. The case includes the all of the internal workings and springs.

The Von Duprin 8827-F Top Latch Cover Kit 050465 the Top Latch Cover for the Von Duprin 8827-F. The 8827-F is the Fire Rated Surface Vertical Rod device usually used on interior doors to contain a fire. The Fire Rated version would not have dog screws to lock the device in the retracted position.
