5" Kickdown Door Holder FS452

The H.B. Ives FS452 is another classic kick down door stop.  It features a simple hold and release, activated with a touch of the foot, and is constructed of cast bronze or brass depending on the finish you are ordering.  A simple stainless steel spring clip holds the stop in the up position.  The non-marring rubber shoe is replaceable, and they have a corrugated bottom to prevent sliding on the floor and a secure grip.  This stop is shipped with matching finish sheet metal screws.   The 5" model is for door to floor clearances of 3" or less.  The hole spacing is 19/32" by 1-47/64".

On this Adams Rite End Cap we sometimes find the number HX0471 cast into the Black Plastic construction.  It measures 2-3/8" high by 1" deep, with a projection of 1-1/4". It is used on the 8099, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400, 8500, 8600, 8700, 8800 and 8900.

5" Kickdown Door Holder Grand Standard

Frequently we are asked, “What is the heaviest duty kick down holder  you sell?”  The answer to that question is any of  Grand Specialty door holders.  These door stops are American made and simply the best out there.   They have a shoe that is held in place by a screw, a rivet instead of a roll pin for the hinging mechanism, and a “wedge” instead of a piece of spring steel to hold up the leg.  They are constructed of steel, and not cast like all of the other door holders made.

Another feature is their well constructed shoe can be adjusted down as the rubber wears making the holder last way longer than their competitors. Another use for them is as a door floor lock if mounted on the other side of the door. Once kicked down there's no entry possible unless you slide a flat item under the door to lift the door holder leg out of the way and push the door open. It can be opened from the inside as normal with your foot or hand. A very inexpensive security lock.

Available in a Rim, Concealed, and Surface Vertical Rod versions, this device is suitable for use with 1-3/4" (44.5 mm) narrow, medium, and wide stile aluminum, wood, or hollow metal doors. The base is easily trimmed for field sizing, and the vertical rods are shipped to fit up to 84" (2.13 m) tall doors. Extensions or longer rods for taller doors are available. The Jackson 20330 Concealed Door Closer has been around since the late 1960's early 1970's.  They are used on aluminum framed storefront doors, that have a narrow stile (frame) around the glass.  The closer is tucked up in the header of the door frame.  Jackson has been a leader in this style of door closer for almost 50 years.   The closer is manufactured in the U.S.A. under strict ISO 9001 guidelines and is designed to give long lasting, maintenance-free performance. One basic closer mechanism allows for single or double acting, center-hung, or offset applications and is non-handed. The adjustable spring power makes this closer suitable for aluminum, wood or steel doors.

The Dor-O-Matic 1690/1790/2390 Dogging Hex Shaft is the piece that your dog key (allen wrench) fits into the lock the device in the open or dogged position.  This shaft is used on the 1690, 1790, and 2390 device.  The Dor-o-Matic Panic Devices have been around since the late 1960’s, but have most recently been known as the Falcon Panic Device from a name change they had in about 2008.  They are basically the same device, with the same parts, just a different name plate.  The part that the hex key fits into is only about 1/4" deep, because of that these tend to get rounded out, so the key will not move the shaft. 

To remove the old shaft just pull with a pair of Channel Locks or Pliers.  To reinstall, just press it back in to position, you might have to bend the holding tabs back down, but we very rarely have to do this.  The manufacture part number on this is SHAFT.101.

The Panic Hex Key 5/32" x 3-1/16" Long is a must for Von Duprin 22, 33, 35, 98 and 99 panic hardware.   This key has a longer shaft to reach deeper into the Von Duprin Panic Devices.   This key is also known as Hex Key, Dog Key, Allen Key,  and Dogging Key.

The Von Duprin 9927 Top Vertical Rod 110573 is the standard top rod for door heights up to 7'1".  The length of this rod is 35", less the fittings.  For larger doors you can order a Rod Extension Kit, which at this point we do not have online.  The rod is field adjustable if your doors are less then 7'1".  The Old Von Duprin part # is 110573, and the Newer Von Duprin part # is 050512.

The Heavy Duty Cal Royal CRCODE101 is for use on the 7700 and 9800 Rim and Surface Vertical Rods. This lock features Single Code with up to 8000 code combinations, weather resistant, non handed, and code can be changed without removing the lock. Comes in Brushed Chrome finish only.

Installation and Programming Instructions

The Adams Rite 41-0131-119 Metal End Cap Assembly is used on the Latching Side of the device. It is used on the P8700 and P8800 Narrow Stile Pullman Exit Device.

The EPT-10 Von Duprin Power Transfer is a 10 wire, 24 gauge, means to transfer power from the door frame to the door.   The kit includes everything that is need to complete the installation.
