LCN 4820 Door Closer Pneumatically Operated

The LCN Door Closer 4040SE Track Assy 4040SE-3038 replaces all Sentronic tracks for the 3130SE, 4010SE, 4110SE and 4040SE Closers. Track includes the roller, 4040SE-3034 and new mounting screws. The replacement track measures 21-3/4" on center for the mounting screws, which may be different then the 3130SE, 4010SE, 4110SE and older 4040SE Tracks.  The replacement track is the only way we know of to replace the solenoid.  Specify voltage, and color when ordering.

The LCN Door Closer Cover is the standard plastic cover that ships with LCN Door Closers.   Specify your current closers model number when ordering. Not all of the LCN closers have the same shape cover on the door closer cylinder.  The part number is the Series Number followed by -72.   So, the part number would be 1460-72, 4010-72, 4020-742, 4030-72, 4040-72 and 4110-72.   We have access to all the covers, if yours is not here call us and we will quote you a price.

The LCN Door Closer Cush-n-Stop Arm 3077CNS is a Non-handed parallel arm that features solid forged steel main arm and forearm with stop in soffit shoe.  Specify your current closers model number when ordering. The LCN Door Closer 3077EDA Extra Duty Arm is the standard arm shipped with the 4110 series, and is optional on just about all of there other closers.  The arm features a non-handed parallel arm solid forged steel main arm and forearm with stop in soffit shoe.  Specify your current closers model number when ordering. LCN Door Closer Fusible Link Arm

Adjustable nut allows door closer arm to lock when the preselect position is reached. Fusible Link will hold door until heat melts the "Link" and then the door will shut. Used on Fire Doors to control a spreading fire.

The LCN Door Closer Hold Open Arm 3049 has an adjustable nut that allows the door closer arm to lock when they reach a pre select position.  This arm can be used on most LCN Door Closers because the Hold Open function is in the arm.   If you have a regular armed LCN Closer currently, you can use this arm to make them have the Hold Open function.  Two words of warning, they can not be used on an interior fire rated door, and Hold Open arms usually break.   The manufactures sell more door closers with regular arms, but we tend to sell more Hold Open arms, meaning they wear out or break a lot easier then Regular Arms.

The LCN Part #'s on this Regular Arm is: 1260-3049 (non handed), 1460-3049 (non handed), 4010-3049 (handed), 4020-3049 (handed), 4040-3049 (non handed).   The fitting for the 4040 is a six sided, the 4010, 4020 and 4110 have a flat sided oval, and the 1260 and 1460 have an eight sided star.

The LCN Door Closer Hold Open Head And Tube 3048 - 3048L.  As the arm rotates the pivot point threads close on to the mounting bracket face and create a friction catch.  If yours is new, try rotating the mounting plate 180 degrees so the threads tighten as it closes. This replacement part from LCN either breaks or wears out.   The material some times wears out due to the friction of open and closing.  But the biggest issue seems to be the point where the tube mounts to the cast iron connector.

The LCN Head and Tube 78H and 78HL comes in two versions.  One is 5-3/4" long and the other is 8-5/8".  The square hole is 5/8".  The head and tube usually breaks where the cast ring attaches to the tube.  This part usually goes by the part number 4040-78H, 4040-78HL, 4040XP-78H, 4040XP-78HL, 1260-78H, 1260-78HL, ect.,.

The LCN Door Closer 62PA Parallel Arm Shoe is constructed of steel and then powder coated to your color.  This is the shoe that LCN used on there universal door closers for the parallel arm mounted door closers. This is the bracket that is shipped with the Rw/PA and Hw/PA arms.  A parallel arm closer is a door closer that has the arm parallel to the door when the door is closed. This part is also known as the 1260-62PA, 1460-62PA, 4030-62PA, and 4040-62PA. Ships with mounting screws.

The LCN Door Closer Regular Arm 3077 ships with 95 percent of there door closers.   This is the standard regular.   Specify your current closers model number when ordering. Not all of the LCN closers have the same shape spindle on the door closer cylinder. The LCN 79 Door Closer Rod And Shoe  piece fits into the female part of all LCN Regular Arms. The old style had two concave set screws and a ball pressed into the rod. If the door over rotated the ball would pull out of the concave set screws. The new version has a pin holding the rod to the shoe which is designed to fail if the door is over rotated. This piece will work on the LCN 1260, 1460, 4010, 4020, 4030 and 4040 door closers with regular arms. Some of the really old models have multiple threaded holes, so you might have to drill a hole in the female tube. Part #'s 4040-79, 4040-79LR and 4040-79ELR. The 1260, 1460, 4010, or 4020 could replace the 4040 in those part numbers, they are the same.

The LCN Door Closer Spring cush Arm 3077SC is an optional arm offered by LCN.  The arm features a solid forged steel main arm and forearm with a spring loaded stop in the soffit shoe, which makes this arm ideal for abusive parallel arm applications.  Specify your current closers model number when ordering. The Norton Door Closer 1601 has been around for the past 40 years.  With the advent of aluminum framed glass doors, Norton was on for the first manufactures to come up with a narrow stile door closer.  Because of this, it is still one of the most popular door closer model out there.  It is a Grade 1 closer and has adjustable closing, latching, and back check speeds.  The model we ship also has adjustable spring tension to work on a wider range of doors.  The hole spacing is 3/4” x 9-1/16”.

Older models may be stamped with Scoville or Eaton, which are the companies that used to own Norton.  We sometimes find 20-1624-4001, or 20-1604-4001 stamped on the back of the closer. If your door closer is stamped 20-1603-4001 or 20-1623-4001, you might want to double check the hole spacing. The 20-1603-4001 usually has a hole spacing of 3/4" x 8-3/16", you could use the International Door Closer 853 as a replacement.

The Barrier Free version just means you can turn the spring tension down to a size 1 spring, which will meet the ADA codes (less than 5 pounds of resistance). The model we ship also has adjustable spring tension to work on a wider range of doors. The hole spacing is 3/4” x 9-1/16”.

Norton 1600 Installation Instructions

The Norton Apollo Door Closer 7500 has been around for quite a long time, and was designed to replace the older 7700, which are still made. The beauty of the 7500 is that is can be mounted left or right, push, pull or top jamb, were as the 7700 you had to specify all those attributes, which made stocking them a head ache. This is a Grade 1 closer, and is extremely durable. If you are looking for a 7500BF, the barrier free version, the new 7500 is barrier free, and will do the trick. This closer has a 2-3/8" x 6-3/4" hole spacing.

The Norton Traditional Door Closer 78 B/D is a door closer used in historic buildings.  This is a replica of the original cast iron door closer used from the 1920’s to 1960’s.  The new version is made of a cast aluminum alloy material, and should only be used when you are trying to keep historic designations.  The hole spacing on this closer is 1-3/8" x 4-1/4”.

The Norton Door Closer 8301 is sometimes called the Omni Door Closer.  This door closer features a cast aluminum body, is a Grade 1 closer and has adjustable closing, latching, and back check speeds.  This closer is a non sized closer, meaning you adjust the spring tension to meet closing requirement for a ADA Barrier Free application all the way up to a 48” exterior door.  You cover might have 8301/8301BF 3301/3301BF, but the new version will cover the BF and non BF closers.  The difference between this closer and the 8501 is the size of the plastic cover.  The 8301 has a slim cover, and the 8501 has full cover.  The hole spacing on this door closer is 3/4” x 12”.

The Norton Rod and Shoe 7701-11 and 7701-11A come in two different lengths, 8-7/8" and 12-1/2".  The length is measured from the end of the bar to the center of the eyelet.

The Norton / Yale Door Closer 7701-3 Hold Open Arm is the standard hold open arm shipped with Norton and Yale Door Closers.   It is known as a Friction Hold Open, because as the arm rotates it tightens down two plates together.   Adjusting the large hex bolt on the Hold Open Assembly determines where the arm will hold open.  This part has had a couple of numbers over the years 7701-3, 1620-3 for Norton and 400-3 for Yale.

The Norton Door Closer Regular Arm is the standard arm that is shipped with the 9300, 1600, 8301, 8501 and 7500 door closers.  It will also work with the Yale 2300, 50, 3301, 3501 and 4400 series door closers.  This arm has had a bunch of different factory numbers over the years, including 1620-1, 7701-1 and 400-1.
