Brushed Stainless Steel Door Kick Plate 18 Gauge .037
The Brushed Stainless Steel Door Kick Plate 18 Gauge .037 is the lightest duty stainless steel plate we offer . Stainless steel offers one of the best material for commercial applications. They are very hard, and do not dent easily. The also offer the best corrosion resistances out there. This plate is ideal as a replacement for Brushed Chrome kick plates. Brushed Chrome Kick Plates are usually a bronze plate that is chrome plated. The problem with bronze is it is a soft metal and dents easily. The stainless steel plates are a lot harder and more resistant to dents. Brushed chrome looks identical to brushed stainless steel. We only use type 304 stainless.
Stainless Steel Kick Plates can be mounted by screws, two way tape, and they can be glued to the door. Our plates come standard with screw mounting. The manufacture sends #6 x 5/8″ Oval Phillips Undercut Stainless Steel screws. The number of holes on the screw mounted plates is determined by an industry wide standardize template. A height between 6-10″ will have 10 holes for plates up to 33″ and 12 holes for plates between 33 and 40″.
You can order these plates with tape mounting, but on larger plates and especially plates with a stainless steel base metal, it is not recommended. Stainless Steel plates are too heavy and they most likely will not stick. We can also ship them with no holes, if you want to drill your own holes. Polished Brass Door Kick Plate
Solid brass kick plate, polished to mirror finish. We can no longer get the solid brass plates, the lifetime polished brass will be shipped in its place.
The standard Polished Brass Door Kick Plate is a solid brass kick plate that is polished and then clear coated to prevent oxidation. These plates are 16 gauge or .050″ thick. A draw back of the Polished Brass Plates is oxidation. If the plate becomes scratched or dented, there is a good probability that the clear coat delaminates and moist could get under the surface. When this happens, the plate will tarnish. The brass base material is softer, so the chances of them becoming scratched or dented in commercial applications is pretty high.

I would highly recommend the Lifetime Brass if these plates are going to be mounted outside. Solid brass is soft, and tends to dent easily and the clear coat can be compromised. The Lifetime Brass plates do not require a clear and will last a lot, lot longer!

We often have people looking for Brushed Chrome or Polished Chrome, but the appearance of the two finishes next to each other is very difficult to tell which is which. Also a brushed chrome or polished chrome kick plate would be a brass plate which is then chrome plated and brushed or polished depending on the plate. Brass is a soft metal that dents easily, and also does not offer the corrosion resistance that stainless steel does. Since stainless steel is stable in any environment, they do not have to clear coat the plate.

Gold Aluminum Door Kick Plate
The Gold Aluminum Door Kick Plate are constructed of .040" thick aluminum base material that is then anodized to a polished brass finish. These plates are a great alternative to the Solid Polished Brass and Lifetime Brass kick plates. Custom sizes are available, they run about $0.24 per square inch or less. The Diamond Plate Aluminum Door Kick Plate are solid aluminum. They are 1/8" thick and have a gloss or polished finish. These plates have the Diamond pattern, and the diamonds are 1-1/8" long. Custom sizes are available, they run about $0.39 per square inch. The lead time on these plates is about 7-10 days.

The Anodized Black Aluminum Door Kick Plate 315AN are a flat black and match the black color we find on Storefront doors. These plates have an aluminum base metal, which is 18 gauge (.040") thick that is then Anodized in the Black Color. These plates relatively inexpensive. Custom sizes are available, they run about $0.25 per square inch.

Anodized Aluminum Door Kick Plate
Anodized Aluminum Door Kick Plates are the most cost effective, least expensive. The aluminum plates are 16 gauge, or .050″ thick and have a brushed or satin finish. They have an anodized finish to resist corrosion and we find these in many commercial buildings through out the United States.

The Door Pull Offset #39 Handle is constructed of either solid aluminum, brass or stainless steel. The handle is 1" diameter tubing with a 2-3/4" offset and 2-3/4" projection. Corner Guards-Clear Plastic 313 - 2-1/2" X 2-1/2" X 48"
The Clear Plastic Corner Guards 313 are a good way to protect corners from hand carts and dollies in areas of lighter traffic. If the area has a lot of traffic, like a warehouse, I would recommend the 310 or 311 which are made of metal. The are 2-1/2" by 2-1/2"" and are usually 48" long, but we can do custom sizes. They are constructed of .120" thick clear polycarbonate plastic. Screws are included for mounting.
