The Falcon / Doromatic Door Closer SC81 is an affordable, higher quality, standard template closer.  This closer offers adjustable closing, latching and back check speeds, along with adjustable spring tension.  It has the ability to be mounted on the push, pull or top jamb and is non handed.  This closer is considered a Grade 1 closer, which is the highest grade you can get.  The hole spacing is 3/4” x 12”, which is the same hole spacing as the Norton 8301, 8501 and the Yale 3301, 3501 Door Closers.  We ship the SC81 Rw/PA.

The Falcon SC71 Door Closer used to go by the Doromatic SC71. This is a higher quality door closer at a more affordable price. This closer offers adjustable closing, latching and back check speeds, along with adjustable spring tension. It has the ability to be mounted on the push, pull or top jamb and is non handed. This closer is considered a Grade 1 closer, which is the highest grade you can get. The hole spacing is 2-3/8” x 6-3/4”, which is the same hole spacing as the Norton 7500 and Yale 4400 door closers. The Falcon / Doromatic Door Closer SC91 is an affordable, high quality closer for residential or light commercial applications.  They used to be know as the Doromatic SC90, but in about 2008, they changed it to the Falcon SC91.  This closer offers adjustable closing, latching and back check speeds, along with adjustable spring tension.  It has the ability to be mounted on the push, pull or top jamb and is non handed.  This closer is considered a Grade 3 closer, which is the lightest grade you can get.   The hole spacing is 3/4” x 6-3/8”.  We ship the SC91 Rw/PA.

Function is the Doromatic/Falcon Door Closer Model

The design of the Doromatic 1690 is ideal for demanding, high-traffic applications. The vertical rods and latch mechanisms are concealed in the vertical door stile, ensuring trouble-free operation. Cast metal cover plates and end caps hold up to rigorous use. A quick, singlepoint dogging feature in the housing deactivates the device, permitting unrestricted traffic flow. The Doromatic 1690 may also be used to retrofit a Doromatic 1990 Series crossbar device.

Shipped with all screws and strikes. The 1690NL Cylinder Assembly (169CA) is required if you wish to use a key cylinder on the exterior, SEE RELATED PRODUCTS toward the bottom of the page.

The Falcon OHC100 and OHC101 Door Closer Body Only are designed for a wide variety of Doors.   The OHC100 is for use on larger exterior doors and has spring size adjustments of 3-5.   The OHC101 is designed for smaller or interior vestibule doors, with an adjustable spring size of 1-3.

The Dor-O-Matic 2090 Panic Device has been around since the early 1970's.   Even though it is now called the Falcon 2090 Panic Hardware, it is the same exact device.  The 2090 provides balanced appearance, dependable performance and economical pricing, making it a popular choice where rim exit devices are required.  The package includes both housings, 41" crossbar (that can be cut in the field), mounting screws and strike.

The Doromatic Exit Device 2090 Active Case is for use on the 1090 and 2090 panic hardware.  This device has been around since the early 1970's, and is now called the Falcon 2090 Active Case, but it is the same piece.  Includes all of the interior hardware. Just unscrew or loosen the three set screws and remove your old case and install and tighten the three set screws. Housing measures 7-1/2" long by 1-3/16" wide, mounting studs have a 6-1/4" center to center distance.

The Falcon 1590 Retractor RTR10 is one of the components you need to convert a Exit Only device to a NL or HB device.  The RTR10 along with the 159CA-NL or 159CA-HB is all you need, along with a Key Cylinder.

The Falcon Dor-O-Matic RM70 Mullion Bracket Kit includes the top and bottom brackets and all of the mounting screws.

Falcon Dor-O-Matic STK45 Surface Strike

This strike is used when we have a double door application without a center post. By using this strike we can have one door with a surface vertical rod and one door a rim device, which will save money because vertical rods are usually expensive. This strike can be used with the 1590, 1790 and 2090 Rim Devices. The strike base measures 1-5/16" wide by 3-1/4" high, and 1/4" thick. The three slots are 1-1/4" on center. This strike ships with the mounting screws.

The Dor-o-Matic 1990 Housing and 1090 2090 Inactive Housing DCX has been around since the early 1970's.  Although it is now called a Falcon 1990, it is still the same device.  This housing is also the inactive housing on the Dor-O-Matic / Falcon 1090 and 2090 panic hardware.  The housing includes all of the interior springs, arm, and dogging screw.  Housing measures 7-1/2" long by 1-3/16" wide.  The center to center distance of the mounting studs is 6-1/4".

The Falcon Dor-o-Matic 3049DS Dead Stop Hold Open Arm is used on their SC60, SC70 and SC80 Door closers only. This arm is non-hnaded, stamped, heavy duty, hold-opn parallel arm includes a positive mechanical stop and non-adjustable forearm assembly for high volume traffic and harsh conditions.

The Dor-o-Matic 1690/1990 Top Rod Latch Assembly PB130 is also used on the 1390, 1490 and 2390.  This latch has been around since the 1970's,  and is usually the issue if your bottom rod is dragging on the floor.  Although we are calling it Dor-o-Matic, it is actually known as a Falcon SU Top Latch due to a name change 5 or 6 years ago.  This latch rolls over when the device is pressed in and then locks in that position.  When the door closes, the 'U" channel of the latch flips over to a vertical postion and drops the rods.  This latch always uses the PB48 Strike, our part # G199034.  The Dor-o-Matic Panic Devices have been around since the late 1960’s, but have most recently been known as the Falcon Panic Device from a name change they had in about 2008.  They are basically the same device, with the same parts, just a different name plate.  Falcon part # PB130 or 4270101806.

The Falcon Doromatic Latch Screw PB17 is also known as the SCREW.1029 and the GPB17.  The screw is a 10-32-1/4" with an undercut head.  This screw is used to hold the top and bottom latches on the door for the 1690 and 1990 series devices.

The Dor-o-Matic 1690/1990 Top Strike PB48 is used on the Dor-o-Matic 1690, 1990 and 2390 Concealed Vertical Rod Exit and Panic Devices. The plate measures 1" x 1-1/16" with 4 holes. The mounting holes are 11/16" x 11/16" on center. The diameter of the pin is 7/16" and projects out 5/32".
