12" Kickdown Door Holder Grand Standard
12" Kickdown Door Holder Grand Standard
Frequently we are asked, “What is the heaviest duty kick down holder you sell?” The answer to that question is any of Grand Specialty door holders. These door stops are American made and simply the best out there. They have a shoe that is held in place by a screw, a rivet instead of a roll pin for the hinging mechanism, and a “wedge” instead of a piece of spring steel to hold up the leg. They are constructed of steel, and not cast like all of the other door holders made.
Another feature is their well constructed rubber shoe can be adjusted down as the rubber shoe wears making the holder last way longer than their competitors. Another use for them is as a door floor lock if mounted on the other side of the door. Once kicked down there's no entry possible unless you slide a flat item under the door to lift the door holder leg out of the way and push the door open. It can be opened from the inside as normal with your foot or hand. A very inexpensive security lock.
- No roll pin at pivot point
- Mallable with a pair of pliers
- Rubber shoe held on by a screw
- American Made
- Zinc plated steel
The bottom mounting screws holes would be 11-3/8" to the Floor when mounted.

Dor-o-Matic 1690/1990 Top Rod Latch Assembly PB130
The Dor-o-Matic 1690/1990 Top Rod Latch Assembly PB130 is also used on the 1390, 1490 and 2390. This latch has been around since the 1970's, and is usually the issue if your bottom rod is dragging on the floor. Although we are calling it Dor-o-Matic, it is actually known as a Falcon SU Top Latch due to a name change 5 or 6 years ago. This latch rolls over when the device is pressed in and then locks in that position. When the door closes, the 'U" channel of the latch flips over to a vertical postion and drops the rods. This latch always uses the PB48 Strike, our part # G199034. The Dor-o-Matic Panic Devices have been around since the late 1960’s, but have most recently been known as the Falcon Panic Device from a name change they had in about 2008. Dor-O-Matic 1690/1790/2390 Dogging Hex Shaft
The Dor-O-Matic 1690/1790/2390 Dogging Hex Shaft is the piece that your dog key (allen wrench) fits into the lock the device in the open or dogged position. This shaft is used on the 1690, 1790, and 2390 device. The Dor-o-Matic Panic Devices have been around since the late 1960’s, but have most recently been known as the Falcon Panic Device from a name change they had in about 2008. They are basically the same device, with the same parts, just a different name plate. The part that the hex key fits into is only about 1/4" deep, because of that these tend to get rounded out, so the key will not move the shaft.
To remove the old shaft just pull with a pair of Channel Locks or Pliers. To reinstall, just press it back in to position, you might have to bend the holding tabs back down, but we very rarely have to do this. The manufacture part number on this is SHAFT.101.
