The Norton Door Closer 8301 is sometimes called the Omni Door Closer.  This door closer features a cast aluminum body, is a Grade 1 closer and has adjustable closing, latching, and back check speeds.  This closer is a non sized closer, meaning you adjust the spring tension to meet closing requirement for a ADA Barrier Free application all the way up to a 48” exterior door.  You cover might have 8301/8301BF 3301/3301BF, but the new version will cover the BF and non BF closers.  The difference between this closer and the 8501 is the size of the plastic cover.  The 8301 has a slim cover, and the 8501 has full cover.  The hole spacing on this door closer is 3/4” x 12”.

The Burns Manufacturing 455 Adjustable Push/Push units consists of 2 454 push bars and and 1 453 pull bar. They are adustable up to 36". The tubes are 1 inch round and the bases are 2 inch diameter by 2-1/2 inch projection. The base metal is brass.

The Door Pull Offset #39 Handle is constructed of either solid aluminum, brass or stainless steel.  The handle is 1" diameter tubing with a 2-3/4" offset and 2-3/4" projection.  This is the most common type of handle you use today.  Just about every aluminum framed storefront door has a version of this handle.  This handle is available in 8", 10", 12" and 18" centers on the mounting holes.  If you have a 9" centered handle use the PH-4000.   It comes standard with thru bolts and finish washers, but can be special ordered if you would like the handle mounted back to back or surface mounted. The Door Pull Handle 12 has a 5-1/2" centers hole spacing and is 6" overall. It has 2" projection with 1-3/8" clearance and the base is 5/8" x 1-1/4". Also known as a Door Handle or Door Grip. Shipped with thru bolts and finish washers.

The BB82 half Mortise 4-1/2” Door Hinge is a specialty hinge. The hinge fastens to the standard mortise slot on the door and the other leaf mounts on the face of the door frame. These are five knuckle, two bearing with square edges. They are constructed of 10 gauge (.134”) steel that is then plated to the desired finish. We ship in boxes of 3 hinges with the wood and machine screw.

Bommer type Gravity Pivot, similar to the obsolete Bommer 7512. Includes top pivot and mounting screws. Currently available only in Zinc Plated.

LCN Door Closer Spring Cush Hold Open Arm 3049SC

Optional, parallel arm for abusive applications features solid forged steel main arm and forearm with spring loaded stop in the soffit shoe. Handle controls hold-open function.

The Ives Wall Mounted Door Stop WS33 is another hold back part from the Glynn-Johnson door stop era.  I can not remember the Glynn-Johnson part #, but when Ives purchased them, they changed it to WS33.  This stop is constructed of cast brass that is then plated to a brushed chrome finish.  It features a replaceable rubber bumper with offset shoulder screws into cavity on body to prevent loss or theft.  And a sloping design that discourages vandalism.The base height is 3" with a width of 2-1/4", and a projection of 3-3/4",  WS33 is furnished with wood screws for drywall mounting.

The LCN Door Closer 1461 series closer ships with regular arm, a slim line plastic cover, and self reaming and tapping screws. Non-sized (1-6) cylinder is adjustable for interior doors to 5’0” and exterior doors to 4’0”. Closer mounts hinge side, top jamb and parallel arm on either right or left swinging doors.  The narrow foot print allows this door closer to be mounted on the top jamb and narrow stile doors without a drop plate.

The Door Push Plate 58 is the only plate we have that is a forged plate.  The forging process involves heat and pressure or pounding.  The result is a very heavy and durable metal.  This plate measures 3-1/2" wide by 15" tall, with a thickness of 7/32".  This is one of the thickest plate we offer, and is the most sturdy.

Finishes

The Ives Wall Door Stop / Holder WS45 was introduced about 50 years ago as the Glynn-Johnson W45A or GJW45A.  When they were purchased by H.B. Ives, it became the WS45.  They are constructed of cast Brass or Bronze and then plated to the desired finish.  This door stop is unique because the wall does not have to be parallel to the door for it to latch and hold the door open.  Spring loaded roller rides up the face of the strike, seating itself on the strike, holding the door firmly in the open position.  A heavy rubber pad cushions the shock and absorbs the sound.  With unit mounted on door and the strike on wall, vertical adjustment is available on body.  The strike is adjustable 45 degrees left or right, both adjustments easily accomplished at time of installation or at a later date.  WS45 strike is furnished with wood screws for drywall mounting.

Aluminum Kick Plate with Diamond Plate Finish, .063 inch thick.  Same as our 1/8 inch thick plate, but 1/16 inch thick. Plates come with or without screws, the without will not be drilled.

The Diamond Plate Aluminum Door Kick Plate are solid aluminum.   They are 1/8" thick and have a gloss or polished finish.  These plates have the Diamond pattern, and the diamonds are 1-1/8" long.  Custom sizes are available, they run about $0.39 per square inch.  The lead time on these plates is about 7-10 days.

The LCN Hold Open Arm Wrench T-1157 is used to adjust LCN Friction Hold Open Arms,  one side if for the 1-1/2" nut and the other is 1-3/16".  Friction Hold Open arm would be part number 3049, with the suffix being the closer model, like 4040-3049, ect..

The International Door Closer 5001P Series Adjustable Spring Power is a great closer to use as a replacement for the many 3/4" by 12" mounting holed closers.  This door closer is fully adjustable with sweep, latching and back check adjustments, a long with an adjustable spring tensoin control.  This closer can be adjusted to less then 8-1/2" pounds of resistance to meet ADA standards.  You can install this closer on the push, pull or top jamb, we ship the regular arm and a parallel arm bracket.  This closer has the same mounting holes as the Norton 8000 and Yale 3000 door closers.

Our Dark Bronze Oil Rubbed Bronze Door Kick Plates (US10B) are a baked on powder coat on brass base metal. We switched to this finish 5 years ago due to color variations in the US10B Oil Rubbed Bronze finishes. The US version was much lighter than the Asian version, which is where most the door hardware is made these days. The cost of Oil Rubbing was going through the roof and many platers were having issue with the environmental impact and EPA regulations in the United States. Our Oil Rubbed Kick Plates are 16 gauge (.050″) thick.

Kick Plates can be mounted by screws, two way tape, and they can be glued to the door. Our plates come standard with screw mounting. The manufacture sends #6 x 5/8″ Oval Phillips Undercut dark brown screw. The number of holes on the screw mounted plates is determined by an industry wide standardize template. A height between 6-10″ will have 10 holes for plates up to 33″ and 12 holes for plates between 33 and 40″.

You can order these plates with tape mounting, but on larger plates, it is not recommended. Large plates are too heavy and they most likely will not stick. We can also ship them with no holes, if you want to drill your own holes. You can glue them on, I would recommend liquid nails, and some C Clamps with the door on saw horses.

Anodized Aluminum Door Kick Plates are the most cost effective, least expensive. The aluminum plates are 16 gauge, or .050″ thick and have a brushed or satin finish. They have an anodized finish to resist corrosion and we find these in many commercial buildings through out the United States.

Our plates come standard with screw mounting. The manufacture sends #6 x 5/8″ Oval Phillips Undercut Stainless Steel screws. The number of holes on the screw mounted plates is determined by an industry wide standardize template. The Clear Plastic Door Kick Plates are constructed of .125" thick acrylic.  We recommend screw mounting on these  plate, because you can see right through them, and would be able to see the Tape Mount or Glue.  We have the more common sizes listed, but If you need a custom size they run about $0.22 per square inch.

International Door Closer T1 Push Pull Mounting Screw is used PH-4000, PB-2000, and PP-2000.  The screw measures 2-9/16 inches long, with a 3/8 inch diameter and 18 threads per inch.

The Door Push Plate 50 is the most common push plate we find out in industry today.  It does not matter what type of commercial building you go into, you will find this style and thickness plate.  The are offered in standard sizes, that are shown below, and can be made to custom sizes.  The plates are 16 gauge metal (.050 thick) and are shipped with 4 beveled edges.   The matching finiish screws are shipped with each plate.

The Jackson 20330 Concealed Door Closer has been around since the late 1960's early 1970's.  They are used on aluminum framed storefront doors, that have a narrow stile (frame) around the glass.  The closer is tucked up in the header of the door frame.  Jackson has been a leader in this style of door closer for almost 50 years.   The closer is manufactured in the U.S.A. under strict ISO 9001 guidelines and is designed to give long lasting, maintenance-free performance. One basic closer mechanism allows for single or double acting, center-hung, or offset applications and is non-handed. The Brushed Stainless Steel Door Kick Plate 14 Gauge .062 is the heaviest duty plate we offer .  Stainless steel offers one of the best material for commercial applications. They are very hard, and do not dent easily. The also offer the best corrosion resistances out there.  We use only type 304 stainless.

The Door Push Plate 62 is constructed of 16 guage (.050") thick aluminum, stainless steel, brass or bronze depending on your finish.  They measure 7-1/2" by 15" tall.  This plate is handed left and right, the one shown on the website is a Left Hand.  Plate comes with matching finish mounting screws.

Lifetime Satin Nickel PVD Door Kick Plate

The Satin Nickel is a popular finish we have been seeing the last 15 years. These plates are 16 gauge or .050″ thick.
The Lifetime Satin Nickel Door Kick Plate has a 16 gauge (.050″ thick) base metal, that is then plated with a artificial satin finish that is then brushed. The process is called Poly Vapor Deposition or PVD, which is why we hear the name Lifetime Satin Nickel Kick Plate PVD. Because the finish is an artificial satin nickel, it does not have to be clear coated, so it will never tarnish.
