Adams Rite 8800 Panic Device

The 8800 features the Starwheel locking bolt that interlocks door to the door frame.  The 36" version is in stock, we can also get the 30", 42" and 48" devices, lead time is 2-3 weeks.  This device is used exclusively on aluminum framed glass storefront doors.  Replacement parts are available.

The Adams Rite Panic Device Dog Key is used on there older models.   The key is made of high density plastic, and is also known as Hex Key, Dog Key, Allen Key, Dogging Key.  Adams Rite part # 25-0480.

The Doromatic 1990 Panic Device has a long history of reliable performance.  Although it is now called the Falcon 1990, they are the same device.  This device is non handed, meaning it can go on left hand or right hand door.  The standard included 41" crossbar will work on doors up 3'8" wide, and the stardard rods will work on a 7' door.  It is equipped with hardened steel latches and adjustable strike to ensure safety, security and quiet operation.  The package includes all of the mounting screws and strikes.

The Dor-O-Matic 1690/1790/1990/2090 Pinion PB5 has been in use since the 1970's.  This gear or pinion is what activates the latch or the rods on the 990, 1090, 1690, 1790, 1990 and 2090 devices.  The Dor-o-Matic Panic Devices have been around since the late 1960’s, but have most recently been known as the Falcon Panic Device from a name change they had in about 2008.  They are the same device, with the same parts, just a different name plate.  The manufacture part number on this is CAM.102, PB5 or PB140.

The Dor-o-Matic 1690/1990 Top Strike PB48 is used on the Dor-o-Matic 1690, 1990 and 2390 Concealed Vertical Rod Exit and Panic Devices. The plate measures 1" x 1-1/16" with 4 holes. The mounting holes are 11/16" x 11/16" on center. The diameter of the pin is 7/16" and projects out 5/32". The Adams Rite 8800EL Electric Latch Retraction Panic Hardware is the same as the 8800, but with an internal solenoid to retract the latch-bolt.   This is a very popular device in the Hotel Industry and is usually used in conjunction with a card reader.

The dimensions are 14" overall length, 8" centers, with a 3/8" by 1-1/4" handle cross section.   The mounting posts have a 1" diameter, and the handle projects out 1-7/8".  The handle ships with thru bolts and finish washers.  It is constructed of aluminum, stainless steel or brass depending on the finish you are looking for.

The Dor-o-Matic 1990 Housing and 1090 2090 Inactive Housing DCX has been around since the early 1970's.  Although it is now called a Falcon 1990, it is still the same device.  This housing is also the inactive housing on the Dor-O-Matic / Falcon 1090 and 2090 panic hardware.  The housing includes all of the interior springs, arm, and dogging screw.  Housing measures 7-1/2" long by 1-3/16" wide.  The center to center distance of the mounting studs is 6-1/4".

The Door Pull Handle 15 features 7-1/2" centers on the mounting screws. With 2" diameter bases. The Grip has a 2-1/4" projection with a 1-5/8" clearance. Also known as a Door Handle or Door Grip. This handle ships with thru bolts and finish washers.

The Door Pull Handle 17 has an overall length of 10". The base diameters are 2" with three holes each. The handle projects out 2-1/4" and has a clearance of 1-1/2". Also known as a Door Grip or Door Handle. This handle ships with 6 wood/sheet metal screws.

The Dor-o-Matic 1990/2090 Cross Bar CBAR is used on the 990, 1090, 1990 and 2090 Dor-o-Matic and Falcon panic hardware.  The bar is 41" and 48" long and is easily cut in the field with a chop or hack saw.  The bar is constructed of extruded aluminum and then anodized to the correct finish.  The slot where the screw threads in is not threaded, but the screws, sold separately, are thread forming screws. The 41" bars are in stock, the 48" bars have a 3 week lead time

The Dark Bronze Cross Bars are a very dark bronze and will be closer to black.

The Dor-O-Matic 1690/1790/1990/2090 Cylinder Bushing BUSH.102 fits around the Pinion gear to take up slack and reduce friction.  This piece is now known as the Falcon Panic Hardware BUSH.102, but for many years was called the Dor-o-Matic PB46.

ADA Sliding and Barn Door Push/Pull Set. Pull handle is 3/4" round stock with 6" center to centers and 2-1/2 inch clearance.  The flush pull is 4" x 7" x 1-1/8 inch ADA.

The Door Pull Offset #39 Handle is constructed of either solid aluminum, brass or stainless steel. The handle is 1" diameter tubing with a 2-3/4" offset and 2-3/4" projection. This is the most common type of handle you use today.  Just about every aluminum framed storefront door has a version of this handle. This handle is available in 8", 10", 12" and 18" centers on the mounting holes. The back to back mounting is for Metal or Wood Doors that are 1-3/4 thick. Included fastener is threaded into one of the handles, and the Stud End has fits into the inside handle and is held in place by a set screw on the handle.

Package includes two offset pull handles and fastening hardware. Shown in Polished Stainless Steel with 12 inch centers.

The Dor-o-Matic 1690/1990 Retractor PB35 has been used since the 1970's.  The manufacture has changed names in the last 5 years and now goes by Falcon Panic Hardware. This piece is used the 990, 1690 and 1990 devices.  The pinion rides inside this bracket to raise and lower the internal rods. Parts used with the retractor are the Pinion (G199005), Traveller (G199028) and the Pinion Bushing (G199046). Retractor measures 1-7/8" long by 7/8" wide by 1/4" thick.

On this Adams Rite End Cap we sometimes find the number HX0471 cast into the Black Plastic construction.  It measures 2-3/8" high by 1" deep, with a projection of 1-1/4". It is used on the 8099, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400, 8500, 8600, 8700, 8800 and 8900.

The EX88 has a unique latch bolt design that interlocks with the frame of the door. The Adams Rite 8600 Concealed Vertical Rod is designed for narrow stile aluminum framed glass doors.  The device will fit on stile widths of 2" or more.   We recommend this device for replacement only, modifying your existing door to this exit device will be labor intensive.  The 8611 would be for the aluminum finish and the 8622 would be or the dark bronze finish.  We try to keep the Aluminum and Dark Bronze in stock in the 36" and 48" devices.
