98/99 Series| Von Duprin Exit Devices

The Von Duprin 99 Rim Panic device has been around since the late 1970's and has gone through a couple of improvements.  One of the great things about the 99 is the availability of replacement parts.  Even when the device is upgraded, the upgraded parts will work with the older versions that can be close to 40 years old.  This device is for all types of single and double doors with mullions.  The device is UL Listed for Panic Exit Hardware and is considered Grade 1, the heaviest duty rating possible.  The Von Duprin 98 device has a smooth mechanism case and the Von Duprin 99 device has a grooved case. The rim device is non-handed, meaning it will work on Left and Right hand doors.   Ships with all the mounting screws and the 299 Strike.

Von Duprin 9827/9927 surface mounted vertical rod device for all types of single or double doors, UL listed for Panic Exit Hardware. Devices are ANSI A156.3 – 2001 Grade 1. Covers stock hollow metal doors with 86 or 161 cutouts. The Von Duprin 9827 device has a smooth mechanism case and the Von Duprin 9927 device has a grooved case. The surface vertical rod device is non-handed.

Von Duprin 9875/9975 mortise lock device for all types of single or double doors, UL listed for Panic Exit Hardware. Devices are ANSI A156.3 – 2001 Grade 1. Fits stock hollow metal doors with 86 cutout and door stiles as narrow as 4-3/4" (121mm). The Von Duprin 9875 device has a smooth mechanism case and the Von Duprin 9975 device has a grooved case. The Von Duprin 99 Rim Center Case Cover 050071 replaces your old 1 or 3 piece covers.  Included in the package is the cover and the mounting screws.

The Von Duprin 9927 Center Case Cover 050072 replaces your old 1 or 3 piece cover.  The Von Duprin Cover comes with mounting bracket and all screws.

The Von Duprin 9927 Top Vertical Rod 110573 is the standard top rod for door heights up to 7'1".  The length of this rod is 35", less the fittings.  For larger doors you can order a Rod Extension Kit, which at this point we do not have online.  The rod is field adjustable if your doors are less then 7'1".  The Old Von Duprin part # is 110573, and the Newer Von Duprin part # is 050512.

The Von Duprin 9927 Bottom Vertical Rod 110574 is the replacement rod for broken or bent vertical rods.  All of the 9927 bottom rods are the same length, this is set by Federal Building Codes, so the center line of the Panic Hardware is a certain height from the finished floor. The length of the rod is 31-1/4" long, less the fittings.  The old part number on this was 110574, and the newer one is 050514.

The Von Duprin 99 Mechanism End Cap 050014, also known as 33A/35A/98/99/330/350 Impact Resistant End Cap Kit.  Replaces all of the old versions of the 98/99 End Caps, the mounting holes may be different.  Includes end cap, bracket and all screws

The Von Duprin 99 Cover Plate 050114 is for use on the  33A, 35A, 98 and 99 devices.  Covers the dogging assembly on the hinge side of the door. The usually fall off when the End Cap is not on the exit device.  Von Duprin is only shipping a 20-1/2" cover plate now, which will work on 3' and 4' doors, you will have to cut more off if you have a 3' device with a hack saw or chop saw.

The Von Duprin 050155 33/99 Cylinder Dogging Conversion Kit converts Hex Dogging Devices to the Cylinder Dogging.  For use with the 33A, 35A, 98 and 99 Devices.

The Von Duprin 9927 Rod Guide Assembly 112063 works on all of the Von Duprin 98 and 9927's. The guide keeps the rods from bowing or getting bent by hand carts, or rowdy patrons.  Replaces the old style which had the cover and springs.
