The Von Duprin 990DT Trim is known as a Dummy Trim.  This plate mounts on the exterior of the door, and the welded on mounting studs line up with the 99 device on the interior of the building.  If you have a different manufacture or a different Von Duprin series on the interior, it will not line up.  On the back of this plate we usually find the number 990 stamped on it.  The plate shown here is for the Rim and Surface Vertical Rod 99 and 98 devices.  If you have a Mortise or Concealed Vertical Rod, call us and we will order that model.  The plate measures 3" wide by 14-3/16" tall.  Order here for the 990DT-R&V.

The Von Duprin Panic Device 230TP Trim is for use on the 22 and 2227 series only.  The key cylinder locks and unlocks the thumb piece.  The plate measures 3" wide by 12-1/16" with a plate thickness of 3/32".

The Von Duprin Panic Device 230NL Trim is for use with the 22 Rim and 2227 Surface Vertical Road devices.  The key locks and unlocks the panic bar. The plate measures 3" wide by 12-1/16" high and has a plate thickness of 3/32".

The Von Duprin Panic Device 880NL Trim is for the 88 Series only.   The stanchions welded on the back of the plate line up with the88 device on the interior.  Optional key cylinder locks and unlocks the device, and can be used for dogging the door open.  Plate measures 3" wide by 14-3/16" long, with an 1-5/8" bore for cylinder.

Von Duprin part # 880NL-R

The Von Duprin 88 Panic Device has been around since the 1950's, and is probably the device that put Von Duprin on the Map.  It is designed for all types of single and double doors with mullions.  It is field reversible, and ships with a 42" cross bar that can be cut down in the field.  The device is dogged down with a 5/32" hex key, and ships with all mounting screws and the 299 strike.

The Von Duprin 5547 Concealed Vertical Rod Exit Device is used primarily on aluminum framed glass doors, otherwise known as Narrow Stile Doors.   It is one of the most heavy duty cross bar devices made, and has been in production since at least the 1970's.  It will fit on Stile widths of 1-3/4", and ships with all the mounting screws, dog key and all the necessary strikes.  The device is also non handed.

To order select Finish and Type of Door Construction.   For Metal Doors select Metal Door, for Wood Doors, make sure you select Wood Door, the Wood Door model has additional brackets for mounting.

The Von Duprin 2227 Panic Only surface mounted vertical rod exit device for all types of single and double doors, UL listed for Panic Exit Hardware. Devices are ANSI A156.3, 2001, Grade 1. Covers stock hollow metal doors with 86 or 161 cutouts. Fits door stiles as narrow as 3-5/8". The Von Duprin Thumb Piece 970488 is just the thumb piece only, rivet not included. Cast bronze construction, and then plated to the selected finish. 5-1/8" overall length, but note that the length is usually cut down in the field depending on the thickness of your door.

The Von Duprin Panic Device 880K Trim is for use with the 88 series devices only.  Plate measures 3" wide by 14-3/16" long with an 1-5/8" diameter bore for cylinder. Knob projects out 2-3/4".  We do not sell many of these anymore, due to ADA requirements, but they are still available.

The Von Duprin 22 Mechanism End Cap 900981 is the end cap and bracket that ships with the 22 and 2227 series.  The bracket is constructed of zinc plated steel and the end cap is black plastic. Bracket also acts as mounting bracket that holds the exit device on the door.  Von Duprin does offer a new Metal End Cap, look under related products.

The Von Duprin 22, 33, And 99 Dogging Shaft 090040 is the peice that the hex dogging key would fit into. The shaft is for a 5/32" dog key, but it has to be the long version.   The shorter versions will not have enough reach to get all the way into the shaft.  This is a very common problem area, the hole that the key fits in is only about 1/4" deep, and if you do not push down on the hex key when locking it open it will round out over time.  To remove the shaft, just pull it straight out with a part of channel locks.   We reinstalling the new one you might have to bend the ends of the adapter spring 090042 back down. This dogging shaft is for use on all Von Duprin Panic Exit Devices shipped after 1997.

The Von Duprin Panic Device 996L Lever Trim has an escutcheon plate that measures 2-3/4" wide by 10-3/4" high and projects out 27/32". The handle projection is 2-7/8". The key cylinder, not included, locks and unlocks the lever.  This lever handle is handed, but is field reversible. Key lock and unlocks lever.  We ship the 996L-R&V

The Von Duprin Panic Device 230L Lever Trim will work on the 22 and 2227 series exit devices.  In 2008 this lever was redesigned and went from a key in the lever to the new style which has the key above the lever.  The plate measures 3" wide by 6-3/8" high and is 15/16" thick.  This lever only comes in sprayed aluminum or dark bronze.  We also have replacement parts for this particular trim piece in stock, email  us under the contact tab at the top of the page.

Installation Instructions

The Von Duprin 22 Panic Only 22EO is part of the economy series.   Even though is it the least expensive Von Duprin, it is still a very heavy duty panic device.  It is for all types of single and double doors with mullion, for door stiles as narrow as 3-13/16”.   All 22 Series exit devices are UL listed for Panic Hardware or Fire Hardware, and are certified to ANSI A156.3, Grade 1.  The Von Duprin 22 ships with the 299 standard strike, dog key, and all of the needed mounting fasteners.  Even though it is the least expensive, they offer all the replacement parts, just like there other models.  We stock all of the replacement parts Von Duprin has to offer on the 22 and 2227 series.

The Von Duprin 22 End Cap Only 968601 is the end cap that goes on the hinge side of the door. When the cap breaks off the Dogging Cover Plate just slides off. Works on all of the Von Duprin 22 exit devices. If you need the bracket also, please order part # G22R10. Black plastic construction. As of October 1, 2014, Von Duprin no longer sells just the Plastic Cap Only. The complete End Cap and Bracket 900981 will be shipped in its place.

The Von Duprin Panic Device 210K  Knob Trim is for use on the 22 Rim and 2227 Surface Vertical Rod devices.  Key in knob can lock and unlock the knob.  Since the enforcement of local ADA standards, this knob is probably at the end of this life, no one seems to want these anymore.  The mounting plate measures 3" wide by 4-25/32", and is 3-32" thick.  We do have parts on this Knob, but at this point they are not on the website.
