The LCN 4040SE Sentronic Door Closer is a heavy duty, non-handed, non-sized closer/holder designed to provide single point hold-open for fire and smoke barrier doors. The door is held open until current interruption releases the holding mechanism and the door closes. Single lever (track) arm closer is specifically designed for interior doors. Choice of finishes, track functions, and installation accessories meet virtually all life safety requirements.  The SE stands for Single Point Electronic, with this closer the hold open point can only be one point, so the closer has to be positioned on the door to get the proper hold open point.

This technology has been around since 1972, but back then you would order the 4110SE or 4010SE.  These were  application specific closers, so you had to specify the hand of the door, door size,  and the type of mounting.  If you do have an older version, the 4040SE will replace it.

Floor Door Stop / Holder FS446

The Ives FS446 Door Stop and Holder is a modification of the FS444, which is the non holder version.   It is considered a manual type floor holder, because you have to manually latch the holder for it to hold the door open.  It is constructed of cast bronze or brass, and is no longer available in a cast aluminum.  It is designed for doors with up to 2-1/2" of undercut, meaning the distance between the finished floor and the bottom of the door. It measures 3-3/4" overall height with a 2-1/2" diameter, and the distance from the base to the center line of the rubber non-marring stop is 2-1/2".  This stop is packed with expansion shield and lead shield.

Ives FB61P Constant Latching Flush Bolt for Wood Doors

The Ives FB61P is used on the inactive leaf of wood fire doors.   The latch remains extend until the active door is opened.   When the active door is opened the latches retract, and extend when the active door is closed.  The bodies measure 1” wide by 8-1/2” tall and 2” deep.  The bolt throw is 3/4” with a 7/8” vertical adjustment, and has a 3/4” backset.   This package comes with the top and bottom flush bolts with screws and strikes.

4" Kickdown Door Holder FS544

The H.B. Ives FS544 Kick Down Door Holder has been a staple in schools for many years due to its heavy duty construction and inexpensive price.  This is one of our most popular Kickdown Door Holder/Stop for the past 35 years.  It is constructed of durable cast iron, which has great strength characteristics.  The shoe is made of a non-marring rubber, which is replaceable.  The shoe is also held in place with a screw, which makes it a great option in schools and area of high vandalism.  This holder will work on door to floor clearances of 2" or less.  The hole spacing is 7/8" x 1-9/16".

Detex EAX-300 Installation Instructions

The Cal Royal Products CR441 Door Closer is an inexpensive replacement for the LCN 4040.  The mounting holes on the CR441 matches the 4040, at more than 1/2 the cost.  This closer will work on the left or right, push, pull or top jamb for mounting.   Just like the LCN 4040 it features adjustable spring tension, closing, latching and back check speeds.  It is considered a Grade 1 closer, which is the heaviest rating possible.

The Norton / Yale Door Closer 7701-3 Hold Open Arm is the standard hold open arm shipped with Norton and Yale Door Closers.   It is known as a Friction Hold Open, because as the arm rotates it tightens down two plates together.   Adjusting the large hex bolt on the Hold Open Assembly determines where the arm will hold open.  This part has had a couple of numbers over the years 7701-3, 1620-3 for Norton and 400-3 for Yale.

The Norton Door Closer 7701-13 Hold Open Loop Assembly is usually the part that breaks on the Norton 1600, 9300, 8301, 8501 and 7500 Hold Open Door Closers.  The cast iron piece attached to the disk is where they usually break.  This part has had a few part numbers over the years, for Norton it has been known as the 1620-13 and 7701-13, and for Yale the 400-13.

The Jackson 20330 Concealed Door Closer has been around since the late 1960's early 1970's.  They are used on aluminum framed storefront doors, that have a narrow stile (frame) around the glass.  The closer is tucked up in the header of the door frame.  Jackson has been a leader in this style of door closer for almost 50 years.   The closer is manufactured in the U.S.A. under strict ISO 9001 guidelines and is designed to give long lasting, maintenance-free performance. The International Door Closer Arm and Track 3010-JO for Offset Top Arm Assembly Mortised Type (9/16" Depth of Top Rail) installations. Track measures 15-1/4" long by 3/4" high by 15/16" wide.  For use with the 2000, 3000, and 5000 series concealed door closers.

The Sargent Door Closer 351 is the most heavy duty closer made by Sargent.  This closers meets ADA requirements, meets the Buy American Act, and is certified Grade 1, the heaviest rating possible.  The closer has the capability to be mounted on the push, pull or top jamb, and is non handed. It ships with arm, plastic cover, parallel arm bracket and all of the fasteners.  The hole spacing is 2-1/2" x 9"

The Anodized Aluminum Neoprene Door Shoe is an aluminum U channel to mount on the bottom of doors.  The channel is 1 inch deep with a 1/2 inch neoprene seal on the bottom.  Fits over the bottom of 1-3/4 inch thick doors.  Ships in 36 or 48 inch lengths and comes with #6 x 3/4 inch stainless steel screws.

The Falcon SC71 Door Closer used to go by the Doromatic SC71. This is a higher quality door closer at a more affordable price. This closer offers adjustable closing, latching and back check speeds, along with adjustable spring tension. It has the ability to be mounted on the push, pull or top jamb and is non handed. This closer is considered a Grade 1 closer, which is the highest grade you can get. The hole spacing is 2-3/8” x 6-3/4”, which is the same hole spacing as the Norton 7500 and Yale 4400 door closers. The Cal Royal Products 900 Series Door Closer is a unique one, it is the only closer that has the 3/4" x 11-1/8" hole spacing.  We have seen a few versions of this closer, some have 6 mounting holes, and some have 4.  If your closer has a spacing of 11-1/8", and has 3 holes on each size, this is the only closer I know of that is like that.  The 900 Series is a Grade 1 closer, the heaviest duty rating possible.  The door closer has adjustable spring tension, closing, latching and back check valves and is Barrier Free rated.  The package comes with all of the  mounting screws and a parallel arm bracket, so it can be mounted on the left, right, push, pull or top jamb for mounting.

The Yale Door Closer 3301 is constructed of a cast aluminum alloy.  It is considered a Grade 1 Closer, which is the highest grade possible.  The closer features an adjustable spring tension, and separate closing, latching and back check intensity valves.  The slim line plastic cover is standard on this closer.  This door closer replaces the older 3301BF closers. The new version is Barrier Free Complaint.  The hole spacing is 3/4" x 12", the cylinder is sometimes cast 20-3301-1001 on the back of the cast aluminum cylinder.  This closer ships with all of the mounting hardware and parallel arm bracket.

Floor Door Stop Dome 1-3/8" FS438

We ship the H.B. Ives FS438 Floor Dome Stop, another product made by Ives that has been around for 50 plus years.  Take a walk around a school made in the 1960's and you will probably find this door stop, or the hole were it used to be.  This Dome Stop is used on doors without thresholds that have a bottom of the door to floor clearance of less than 5/8".  The are constructed of cast aluminum or cast bronze depending on the finish you are looking for.  The rubber stop is non-marring and replaceable.  The stop has a base that is 1-3/4" x 2" oval, an overall height of 1-3/8" and a base height of 9/16".

The Sargent Door Closer 1331  is a standard template closer with the 3/4” x 12” hole spacing.  This closer is a great replacement for the Norton 8000 Series or Yale 3000 Series Door Closers.  The closer is constructed of a cast aluminum body and has a heat treated steel pinion and rack.  The 1331 has the ability to be mounted on the push, pull or top jamb, and is non handed.  We stock the aluminum finish, but also have the dark bronze finish, it just might take an extra day or so.  We ship the 1331-JUO.

The Ives FB458 is a UL Listed Flush Bolt for use on Fire Doors. The face plate measures 1" wide by 6-3/4" long with a depth of 1-1/8". Hole spacing is 1/2 inch by 6-1/4 inches on centers. The bolt has a 3/4" throw and is 1/2" diameter. This Flush Bolt is available in Polished Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze (dark brown) and Brushed Chrome. Floor Door Stop-Security  FS18 is designed for areas of high vandalism.   The molded rubber is flame resistant and mounted to a 5/8" threaded mounting shaft.  Once the 7/8" diameter hole is drilled to a depth of 2-1/2" it can be grouted in concrete and leaves no exposed fasteners.  The recommended grout is Thorogrip.  They are ideal for jail or security cell areas.  There are two versions of this door stop one projects 1-1/2" (FS18S) out of the floor and the other 3" (FS18L).

Ives FB31P Automatic Flush Bolt

This fully automatic flush bolt is used on the inactive metal fire door.  When the active door is opened the latches retract, when the active door closes the latches extend.  The Ives FB31P Body is 1” wide by 6-3/4” long and 2” deep. Bolt throw is 3/4” with a 7/8” adjustment with a 3/4” backset,  standard rod is 12” which is measured from the center of latch body to the bolt tip.

Rods are also available in 18”, 24” and 36”, call for pricing.  We ship the 12” rods, and this set includes the top and bottom flush bolts.

The International Door Closer Arm 3010-K is for end loading top arm assembly (5/8" depth top rail). All screws included with package.  This arm is for center hung concealed closer applications.   For use with the 2000, 3000 and 5000 series International Door Closers.

The Ives Wall Door Stop / Holder WS40 is a door holder that has some history.  We see this product in many schools, hospitals and churches that were built in the 50's, 60's and 70's.   The WS40 was originally made and designed by Glynn-Johnson out of Chicago, Illinois, and was called the W40 or GJW40.   H.B. Ives purchased Glynn-Johnson in 1990's and mergered this product into there offering, and changed the part # to WS40.  The holder is made of cast brass or bronze and plated to your desired finish.  The holding mechanism has a rubber bumper inside it to act as a door stop, and a brass spring loaded roller to act as a holder.   The product ships with a universal screw package to mount on all types of walls.   For the best results with this stop/holder the door and wall should be about 3-1/2" apart in the open position.

The Offset 60 degree Door Pull is available in 8, 10 and 12 inch centers. The handle is constructed of 1 inch solid material, with the base metal determined by the finish (color). It features 1-1/8 clearance, 2-1/8 projection and has a 2 inch offset. The fasteners are 5/16-18 thru bolts with a finish washer. Please specify the door thickness when ordering.
