The Cal Royal Products 800 Door Closer is one of there newer closers.  The CR801 has a hole spacing of 3/4" x 12" and ships with either a full cover or slim cover.  The full cover will hide both spindles, were as the slim cover will not.  This closer is a Grade 1 closer, the heaviest rating possible.  The cylinder has adjustable spring tension, closing, latching and back check speeds.   It can be mounted on the push, pull or top jamb.  The CR801 will work in place of the Norton 8000 and Yale 3000 series door closers, with no new drilling.

The LCN Door Closer Cush-n-Stop Arm 3077CNS is a Non-handed parallel arm that features solid forged steel main arm and forearm with stop in soffit shoe.  Specify your current closers model number when ordering. Not all of the LCN closers have the same shape spindle on the door closer cylinder. LCN Part #'s: 1260-3077CNS, 1460-3077CNS, 4040-3077CNS, 4110-3077CNS.

The LCN Door Closer 1261 Series combines the best features from the previous 1070 and 1370 into a single versatile and economical cast iron closer, with Tri mounting capability. The 1261 is the door closer I would recommend if you are tired of replacing your store front door closers because of leakage.  The 1261 is the most heavy duty standard template closer that is made.  This door closer will work on the push, pull or top jamb, and is non handed.  The 1261 is adjustable spring sizes 1-5 and mounts to the most common commercial footprint. The Yale Door Closer 3301 is constructed of a cast aluminum alloy.  It is considered a Grade 1 Closer, which is the highest grade possible.  The closer features an adjustable spring tension, and separate closing, latching and back check intensity valves.  The slim line plastic cover is standard on this closer.  This door closer replaces the older 3301BF closers. The new version is Barrier Free Complaint.  The hole spacing is 3/4" x 12", the cylinder is sometimes cast 20-3301-1001 on the back of the cast aluminum cylinder.  This closer ships with all of the mounting hardware and parallel arm bracket.

The LCN Door Closer Regular Arm 3077 ships with 95 percent of there door closers.   This is the standard regular.   Specify your current closers model number when ordering. Not all of the LCN closers have the same shape spindle on the door closer cylinder. The Yale Door Closer 4400 has been around for quite a long time, and was designed to replace the older 400, which are still made. The beauty of the 4400 is that is can be mounted left or right, push, pull or top jamb, were as the 4200 you had to specify all those attributes, which made stocking them a head ache. This is a Grade 1 closer, and is extremely durable. If you are looking for a 4400BF, the barrier free version, the new 4400 is barrier free, and will do the trick. This closer has a 2-3/8" x 6-3/4" hole spacing.

The Corbin 100, 110 and 120 Door Closer are no longer available. They have been replaced by the DC6210, which has the same hole spacings and arm. You will not have to redrill or modify your door to make the DC6210 work in place of your existing 100, 110 or 120 door closers. The DC6210 has a little bit larger body due to the increased functionality of this closer. This new closer will meet all the ADA requirements.

The LCN 4040SE Sentronic Door Closer is a heavy duty, non-handed, non-sized closer/holder designed to provide single point hold-open for fire and smoke barrier doors. The door is held open until current interruption releases the holding mechanism and the door closes. Single lever (track) arm closer is specifically designed for interior doors. Choice of finishes, track functions, and installation accessories meet virtually all life safety requirements.  The SE stands for Single Point Electronic, with this closer the hold open point can only be one point, so the closer has to be positioned on the door to get the proper hold open point.

This technology has been around since 1972, but back then you would order the 4110SE or 4010SE.  These were  application specific closers, so you had to specify the hand of the door, door size,  and the type of mounting.  If you do have an older version, the 4040SE will replace it.

In April of 2023 Norton Yale have discontinued the 2300 and 9300.  The Norton 1600 will be sent in place of the 2300.   Same Hole Spacing, but adjustable spring tension.

Falcon/Monarch 19 Series Hex Dogging Assembly and Cover have been changed.  As of April 12, 2022 the kit now includes a new style dogging assembly also.

We know this kit will work on the 19/24/25 Series, and are not sure if it will work on the Monarch 17/18 Series Dogging Cover goes over the dogging mechanism on the hinge side of the exit device. Sometimes when the end cap goes missing, this cover plate also disappears.

Size is the width of the Device, a 36 inch device is usally only 32 inches wide, a 48 inch device is usually about 42 inches wide.

The Von Duprin 99 Cover Plate 050114 is for use on the  33A, 35A, 98 and 99 devices.  Covers the dogging assembly on the hinge side of the door. The usually fall off when the End Cap is not on the exit device.  Von Duprin is only shipping a 20-1/2" cover plate now, which will work on 3' and 4' doors, you will have to cut more off if you have a 3' device with a hack saw or chop saw.

The LCN Door Closer 4111 HEDA Hold Open is known as the Smoothee, and is one of the heaviest duty door closers made, the HEDA stands for Hold Open Extra Duty Arm.  If you have a building were you have a high traffic and abusive, especially exterior doors, then this is the closer. The 4111 is an application specific closer, meaning it will only work when mounted on the door, on the push side. This is known as a parallel arm application. The cylinder is fully adjustable and will work on doors up to 56" exterior door, and can be adjust down to ADA required levels. We ship the 4111 HEDA model, which is a hold open arm on this page. The cylinder mounting holes are 2-1/2" by 6".

The Norton Door Closer 7700 Series Power Track combine the functions of a single point electromechanical door holder with the proven reliability of a 7700 Series Door Closer. The track assembly contains an arm slide and solenoid operated hold open mechanism and is available with or without an integral smoke detector. The closer is mounted on the door. The Power Track and hook-up box are mounted to the frame face for pull side installations or the frame soffit for push side installations.
Two versions, the Master Unit (PTDO) and the Support Unit (PTO). The PTDO has an integral smoke detector. The PTO can be plugged into the PTDO or into your existing fire alarm system. The Norton Door Closer 8501 is sometimes called the Omni Door Closer.  This door closer features a cast aluminum body, is a Grade 1 closer and has adjustable closing, latching, and back check speeds.  This closer is a non sized closer, meaning you adjust the spring tension to meet closing requirement for a ADA Barrier Free application all the way up to a 48” exterior door.  You cover might have 8501/8501BF 3501/3501BF, but the new version will cover the BF and non BF closers.  The difference between this closer and the 8301 is the size of the plastic cover.  The 8301 has a slim cover, and the 8501 has full cover.  The hole spacing on this door closer is 3/4” x 12”.

The Von Duprin 8827-F Top Latch Cover Kit 050465 the Top Latch Cover for the Von Duprin 8827-F. The 8827-F is the Fire Rated Surface Vertical Rod device usually used on interior doors to contain a fire. The Fire Rated version would not have dog screws to lock the device in the retracted position.

The LCN Door Closer 4021 FL is shipped with fusible link arm, standard plastic cover, and self reaming and tapping screws. This closer is designed to hold open fire doors, when the fusible link melts, it releases the hold open arm, so the door will close.  Sized cylinders for interior doors to 5’0” and exterior doors to 4’0”. Non-sized cylinder adjustable for interior doors to 4’6” and exterior doors to 3’6”. Included arm has a fusible link that melts at 120 degrees, allowing to door to close. Door can be closed any time with a gentle pull.  Closer mounts top jamb (push side), specify right or left swinging door. 4021 cylinder meets ADA requirements. 

The Von Duprin Dogging Hook 090044 is the piece that grabs the push bar mechanism and keeps it in the dogged position.  The does wear out, but it takes a long time.  This piece is used on the 22, 33A, 35A, 98 and 99 series devices made after 1997.  We sell this part individually and it is #5 on the diagram.

The Sargent Door Closer Hold Open Arm 25-H is known as a Friction Hold Open Arm.   As the arm rotates it tightens the two plates together until they can not turn any more, and holding the door open.  To close you just pull the door and it will "unscrew".   The hold open position is adjustable by tightening or loosening the larger nut.

The LCN Door Closer 1461 series closer ships with regular arm, a slim line plastic cover, and self reaming and tapping screws. Non-sized (1-6) cylinder is adjustable for interior doors to 5’0” and exterior doors to 4’0”. Closer mounts hinge side, top jamb and parallel arm on either right or left swinging doors.  The narrow foot print allows this door closer to be mounted on the top jamb and narrow stile doors without a drop plate.

This Yale Latch Assembly is used on fire rated panic devices. A fire rated panic is a device were you can not lock the latch in the open position. It is used on doors were the engineers want the door to latch every time it closes to contain a fire.

The LCN 79 Door Closer Rod And Shoe  piece fits into the female part of all LCN Regular Arms. The old style had two concave set screws and a ball pressed into the rod. If the door over rotated the ball would pull out of the concave set screws. The new version has a pin holding the rod to the shoe which is designed to fail if the door is over rotated. This piece will work on the LCN 1260, 1460, 4010, 4020, 4030 and 4040 door closers with regular arms. Some of the really old models have multiple threaded holes, so you might have to drill a hole in the female tube. Part #'s 4040-79, 4040-79LR and 4040-79ELR. The 1260, 1460, 4010, or 4020 could replace the 4040 in those part numbers, they are the same.
