Lifetime Satin Nickel PVD Door Kick Plate

The Satin Nickel is a popular finish we have been seeing the last 15 years. These plates are 16 gauge or .050″ thick.
The Lifetime Satin Nickel Door Kick Plate has a 16 gauge (.050″ thick) base metal, that is then plated with a artificial satin finish that is then brushed. The process is called Poly Vapor Deposition or PVD, which is why we hear the name Lifetime Satin Nickel Kick Plate PVD. Because the finish is an artificial satin nickel, it does not have to be clear coated, so it will never tarnish.

Our plates come standard with screw mounting. The manufacture sends #6 x 5/8″ Oval Phillips Undercut Stainless Steel screws. The number of holes on the screw mounted plates is determined by an industry wide standardize template. A height between 6-10″ will have 10 holes for plates up to 33″ and 12 holes for plates between 33 and 40″.   You can order these plates with tape mounting, but on larger plates, it is not recommended, the plates are too heavy and they most likely will not stick. We can also ship them with no holes, if you want to drill your own holes. You can glue them on, I would recommend liquid nails, and come C Clamps with the door on saw horses.

Solid brass kick plate, polished to mirror finish.  We can no longer get the solid brass plates, the lifetime polished brass will be shipped in its place.

The standard Polished Brass Door Kick Plate is a solid brass kick plate that is polished and then clear coated to prevent oxidation. These plates are 16 gauge or .050″ thick. A draw back of the Polished Brass Plates is oxidation. If the plate becomes scratched or dented, there is a good probability that the clear coat delaminates and moist could get under the surface. When this happens, the plate will tarnish. The brass base material is softer, so the chances of them becoming scratched or dented in commercial applications is pretty high.

I would highly recommend the Lifetime Brass if these plates are going to be mounted outside. Solid brass is soft, and tends to dent easily and the clear coat can be compromised. The Lifetime Brass plates do not require a clear and will last a lot, lot longer!

The Brushed Stainless Steel Door Kick Plate 14 Gauge .062 is the heaviest duty plate we offer .  Stainless steel offers one of the best material for commercial applications. They are very hard, and do not dent easily. The also offer the best corrosion resistances out there.  We use only type 304 stainless.

 Stainless Steel Kick Plates can be mounted by screws, two way tape, and they can be glued to the door. Our plates come standard with screw mounting. Doromatic EL1490/EL1590 Solenoid

The International 8600 Series End Cap is used on the hinge side of the the exit device.  This cap includes the mounting bracket and the mounting screws.   It is constructed of a die cast metal for years of service.  The piece measures 2-3/8" by 2-1/4" by 1-1/2".  This end cap is used on the International Door Closer models, 8510S, 8610S, 8710S, 8810S, 8620S, 8530S, and 8650S devices, along with the same devices ending in F.    

The Diamond Plate Aluminum Door Kick Plate are solid aluminum.   They are 1/8" thick and have a gloss or polished finish.  These plates have the Diamond pattern, and the diamonds are 1-1/8" long.  Custom sizes are available, they run about $0.39 per square inch.  The lead time on these plates is about 7-10 days.

The Door Pull Plate 5025 is a solid .050" wought plate of solid aluminum, brass or stainless steel depending on the finish. The Door Pull GHE25 has 6" centers and is constructed of solid aluminum, brass or stainless steel, and is 3/4" in diameter, handles come with thru bolts. The plate come predrilled with counter sunk holes and sheet metal screws in matching finiish.  This is one of our most popular plates sold.

Finishes

The PBB Shim Hinge is for use in Fire Doors where the doors are not square.  Putting cardboard or wood shims on fire doors is prohibited, so they have come up with a solution where one of the leaves are drilled tapped and a set screw is inserted.  These hinges are only available in 4.5 x 4.5 sizes in brushed chrome finish. They are sold in boxes of three hinges and come with wood and machine screws. The base metal is steel.

The Glynn-Johnson 81 Series Overhead Door Holder Surface Mounted provide rugged, heavy-duty door control. The jointed-arm design provides the most effective stop mechanism available. The shock absorber bracket is surface mounted, usually with sex bolts. The jamb bracket is mounted to the stop of the frame, so a minimum of door and frame preparation is required.

GJ80 Catalogue

The Dor-O-Matic 1690/1790/1990/2090 Pinion PB5 has been in use since the 1970's.  This gear or pinion is what activates the latch or the rods on the 990, 1090, 1690, 1790, 1990 and 2090 devices.  The Dor-o-Matic Panic Devices have been around since the late 1960’s, but have most recently been known as the Falcon Panic Device from a name change they had in about 2008.  They are the same device, with the same parts, just a different name plate.  The manufacture part number on this is CAM.102, PB5 or PB140.
